Very interested to see how this one plays out. The Swans have looked really good in some games this year but they also seemed to struggling a bit against West Coast last week. Sydney are also coming off the bye and we know what that tends to mean vs the Suns coming off a really dominant performance against Hawthorn as well as a solid performance against GWS the week before.

Might surprise some to learn this but the Suns have beaten the Swans in 3 of their last 5 outings at the SCG so I don't think the venue is really the advantage that some may think it could be. I'd really like to tip us (the Suns) because I think this would be the perfect away scalp to secure in order to convince people that we've arrived as a finals contender but I just have this feeling that we might be a week or two away from Dimma's game plan being fully implemented.

I'll back the boys in though. Suns by 15 points.

Suns fans are reasonably optimistic after consistent effort against Hawks. Draftees exceeded expectations so far. We may see one more in Rogers replacing Rosas.

Swans did seem to struggle a bit last 2 games and Suns usually match up well against them. Looking forward to it.

This is shaping to be a fascinating game. If this young suns team can knock off Sydney in Sydney (where they've had good fortune in the past) I think the rest of the AFL world will stand up and take notice. Hardwick seems to have transformed this team after those mass changes before the giants game and there is an excitement around this club now that we have never seen

Suns play really well down in Sydney against the Swans, match up well. Despite the Swans being in hot form they are capable (I.e last week) of dropping away for periods.

A strong start to the game and I think the Suns can sneak home by two goals

This is very much my fear. Think most Swans supporters won’t be getting ahead of themselves for this one.

If GC have any hopes of finals, these are the type of game they’re going to have to win.

It’s all well and good beating up on rubbish at Carrara (let’s face it they probably would’ve won all 3 games under Dew) but they’ve failed their 2 away tests so far.

An important game for the Suns.

I'll tip us to win but I'm pretty nervous about this one.
It seems you're not the only Swans supporter that's nervous about this one. There's a fair bit on the line here for both clubs in terms of wanting to get their season off to a really good start. I suspect the Swans are eyeing off a top 4 position this year and with that comes the expectation of winning a game like this one against a team that definitely shouldn't finish inside the top 4 this year.

For the Suns, this would really be a statement win if we're able to secure it because the Swans are rated highly. For all the good press the Suns have received so far, I think it's still fair to say we're yet to secure a big upset win and this would certainly fit the bill.

Suns will be desperate to prove their finals credentials with a scalp on the road. They've done it here before and have the midfield cattle to worry us again.

Don't care how we look doing it, I'll just be very happy with a win here.

Would of thought this was an almost 50-50 game but the swans are massive favorites, the suns are paying $3.35.What am I missing ?

It seems you're not the only Swans supporter that's nervous about this one.

I think the overwhelming amount of commentary on this post coming from Suns supporters is a fair indication of this.

A lot of adulation for the Gold Coast Suns so far.
Not sure they have achieved anything yet. Smashed by the Bulldogs. Comprehensively beaten by GWS in the second half and now they face another finals contender.

Same old story for the Suns. Glimpses without actually making any inroads.

Swans to get the job done by 9 points.
