I think we can conclusively say the Gardiner forward idea has been a complete failure.

Or maybe its again the third tall forward is just a poor tactic for us as we have so many lazy and slow forwards and mids who wont run defensively

I mean it's not like we spent all year trialling three tall forwards before settling on two tall forwards that took us to a Grand Final.

Feels like arrogance from the selection committee/coaching staff to think that Gardiner was the forward that could make a failed tactic work.

I would honestly blood some youngsters for the rest of the season. If we find two gold nuggets then that’s a win.

Same number of Inside 50s but 18 tackles to 4 inside 50 in favour of GWS is telling...

Yep this. It’s now 22 to 4 actually!

Our forwards are either incapable or unwilling to apply pressure to lock the ball inside our 50. The result is that we get absolutely smashed on turnovers.

Pretty much all of them but we absolutely must get drop Gardiner, he’s barely VFL quality and has no place in a forward line that already has Daniher and Hipwood. 1 goal from 6 games as a full time forward, there’s no justification for him to be playing
