Haynes for Peatling is probably the only change.

I showed my daughter the Giants one and she just kept calling bullshit the whole time.

I think I need to explain irony to her. 🤣

A MOUTHWATERING head-to-head battle between two of the competition's clearance kings is set to light up the clash between Gold Coast and Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.

Matt Rowell (11.7 clearances) and Tom Green (7.7) sit first and third respectively in the all-important clearances per game statistic and occupy the same spots for contested possessions. The 2019 draft alumni will put those attributes to the test against each other in the Adelaide Hills in a huge Gather Round clash.

"We probably will (see them go head-to-head), he's their clearance king, Tom's probably ours so I'm sure they'll be matched up a lot around stoppages," Greater Western Sydney coach Adam Kingsley said."We' ll then see how it's going, if Matt Rowell's bobbing up then we'll certainly try and minimise that damage that he can inflict on the opposition. Opening Round, he had 20 clearances which is just extraordinary so we know he's capable. They're a really strong clearance team and if they get the clearances going their way, they're really hard to beat, irrespective of six years ago or now. We need to really control those stoppages, one of our strengths is being able to do that."

With Rowell and Green joined by Giants Lachie Ash (pick No.4) and Jake Riccardi (No.51) as well as Suns Noah Anderson (No.2) and Sam Flanders (No.11), Sunday's encounter is shaping up as a 2019 draft extravaganza.

Kingsley suggested the Giants will be unchanged for the Suns clash.

The GIANTS will take an unchanged line up into their Gather Round clash at Mt Barker for the first time this season.

Coming off a round three bye, coach Adam Kingsley has opted for the same 23-man team that defeated West Coast in Perth in round two.

Playing as the sub in round two, youngster James Peatling has retained his spot after eight disposals and two tackles in a little over a quarter of football against the Eagles.

Kingsley spoke to the media on Friday and said the GIANTS weren’t taking the Suns lightly – particularly given they’re coached by former mentor, Damien Hardwick.

“They’re going to be a very good team, if they’re not already,” Kingsley said.

“Certainly, the way ‘Dimma’ (Hardwick) wants his teams to play, that’s evident in the way Gold Coast go about it.

“Ladder position and what people may think externally, internally we know this is going to be a really hard game and they’re high quality.”

The emergencies for Sunday’s clash will be Nick Haynes, Ryan Angwin and Lachlan Keeffe, with the GIANTS’ VFL side to play a practice match against the Swans on Saturday, where Braydon Preuss (back), Phoenix Gothard (glandular fever) and Joe Fonti (adductor) will all feature for the first time this season.

Sunday’s match will be shown live on Fox Footy and Kayo nationally from 12pm CST/12:30pm EST as well as live and free on Channel 7 from 12:30pm EST in NSW and the ACT.

The Orange Army is also invited to join GIANTS ambassador Alex Williams and his sidekick Brandon McClelland on Sunday at the Hudson Hotel in Seven Hills to cheer on the GIANTS in their away clash - click here for more.

bank the win and move on.

3 more debuts for GCS suggests Dima is happy to lose some games in order to get games into his youth and happy if it costs the games in the short term.

They are reasonably tall 8 KP players with 4 over 200cm. Witts back in helps them but the question for them will be how the defend on transition and will they be able to move it from D50 to F50. If we bring our pressure some of their youngsters might struggle.

Yes, you'd have to think that the first three games have shown Dimma something about the Suns' list ... presumably a realisation that continuing with moderately talented players won't pay off, and that they need to get some games into guys who might help take them to a flag. I'm sure he's not looking to "tank" games such as our, but probably accepting of losses for a greater benefit. Of course, I'm sure he'd just love their youthful exuberance to cause a stunning upset!

If they all become good players they will have a really good mix of talls up forward. Problem they have is like us initially it’s hard to get game time into a lot of KPP all at the same time while still being competitive (not sure how the pressure will be on rebound)
