Jesus that was a horrible game to watch.

Freo kicked 8 goals, 6 of them from free kicks (3 of which from tackles and holding the balls which are fair), and won the free kick count at a neutral ground… but yeah I guess Free Kick Carlton

Umpires miss touched balls all game, you can’t review a mark what did you want them to do?

Getting caught stone cold holding the ball in front of the goals is a travesty!

poor little precious princess umpire heard a naughty word, it hurt his feelings. to potentially decide a game right at the end over such a minor thing, grow a pair and understand abit of context about the game and that its not about you and your fragile feelings and inflated ego
That might be the case, but the AFL brought dissent against the umpires in as a rule. It’s probably the easiest rule to abide by as it just requires a player to shut their mouth.

To give a dissent free at such a late stage of the game was very poor by the Fremantle player. They should know the rules

Clearly? I was watching on 75 inches in high def and it was impossible to tell in real time. Even the first replay was tough to tell.
The replays after the game showed that it was a slight deflection off the shoulder. Hardly a howler. Reckon a number of those get missed in most games.
The mark was paid and the goal was kicked. Get on with it. Still a chance to win from there. No amount of arguing will change the call.
Nice flex but maybe your eyesight then.

That's the disappointing thing, we won't know who the better team was. Because the last 2 goals were gifted in a space of 30 seconds. A really disappointing watch as a neutral.
Fair to say that the two teams were pretty even for the match - so yeah no real deciding data- except the 4 points go to the Blues oh well...the team has been on the receiving end of similar close finishes going the wrong way - to greater cost in '22 if I remember correctly..

you knew the Blues would find a way
Just to add... I rate this Carlton team, especially in tough games and close finishes

There used to be a time when you could count on the Blues to choke, but this team seem to be made of the right stuff; they're tough, they don't give in; they play the percentages; they don't beat themselves and they have the 2 big fellas up forward who can pluck a big grab against multiple defenders.

It's a pretty good recipe for victory in low-scoring games like we saw today when things aren't going their way

Say what you like about the mark but your just lost your team the game by carrying on like a pork chop when the game still has a kick in it and 40 seconds to go
Did you see the replay? Hardly carrying on just talking really no flapping of arms or anything
