There was six minutes left on the clock.
Attaboy. You were down the majority of stats with six minutes to go in the last. Per the AFL site I gave the once-over, you were losing:
  1. Tackles
  2. Disposals, both kicks and handpasses
  3. Clearances
  4. Inside 50s
  5. Hit outs
  6. Marks inside 50
  7. Tackles inside 50
  8. One Percenters
  9. Efficiency across the board.
So yeah, being beaten in the majority of stats but equal in frees.

That's a far cry from "every single stat" as you originally alleged.

Swans bubble burst a bit hasn’t it.

I honestly think they are good enough to make GF.

But then again, after todays perhaps we will get a competitive GF after all.

Couple of soft kills early…a good pint of bathwater, a bitch fight at the club, and playing at Mount Barker in a strong wind - they’re coping…nothing more.

I think it’s like when you have a complete novice at poker at the table, and you have no idea what they have in their hand because they just do all the wrong things all the time.

Eagles, and to a lesser extent Tigers, are still playing the “bomb it long down the boundary” style of football, and the swans are set up to play against teams playing contemporary pressure/run.

Some good defence from eagles though today, and that’s a start.

And with only McCartin in the backs above 6’2 - it will bother them.

Great point.

Being humble in victory really isn't your strong suit is it. Against the worst side of the last two years too. Embarrassing.

Being humble in victory doesn’t open the door for the Loser to pretend it was unfair or just luck.

Shouldn't a good team be able to adapt to the game unfolding in front of them?
