  • Grit and effort from the team to come back into it
  • Jake - legend
  • Ginbey - super game
  • Gov - just being Gov
  • Kelly's 2nd half
  • Jack Williams will be a star
  • Good to have another debutant

-
  • AFL scheduling: 6 day break off the longest trip in footy when Essendooon get a nine day break
  • Injuries to Yeo and Long
  • Hammy to Harley
  • Liam Ryan came back too early
  • Cripps' brain fade - no excuses from someone so experienced. Bloody stupid

EDIT - NO hammy to Harley - thank goodness!

Jack Williams continues to grow. Going to be solid key position player for a number of years.
Ginbey continues to influence the game.
Hough had with another decent blanket job on Stringer.
Waterman is phenomenal.
Kelly dragged us into the contest with Yeo injured and Reid struggling.
Barrass solid down back.
Gov doing Gov things. When he takes the game on, things tend to happen.
Didn’t hate Chessers game. Certainly shows more than a couple of the other wingers we have.

Cripps playing tough guy.
Yeo and Long injuries. Why does it have to be the good guys? Hope Reid is just cramp and that’s it.
Sheed always was slow but the game has gone way past his plodding. If you are playing him on the wing, I’d honestly prefer Gaffy.
Edwards likewise.
Ryan is nowhere near fit.
Turnovers from defence. Just some absolute howlers that went back over heads. You don’t see the opposite happen for us.
Midfield got beaten up for a majority of the night.
Tackling and pressure was down at time, which let them into the game.

Cripps watched half the team get their heads ripped off. There's a time and place to stand up, and typically he got burnt by the umps. If the umps had shown any moral fortitude they would have given a fifty for some of the ridiculous coat hangers and stopped that s**t.
The AFL continues with its simplistic and tokenism response. "The head is sancrosant (sometimes).
Completely stupid by Cripps but this is not our year and Cripps isn't likely in our next premiership. We will learn. Essendon won't win either playing that s**t.

Trust the process.

Only a sadder note.

Yeo out means the 100-50 point loss will recommence. It's not an exaggeration it's based on data and facts.

Last year our mid consisted of a Tim Kelly + 50 percent Shuey without Yeo

This time now our mid consist of a Tim Kelly + Harley reid without Yeo.

We need to do whatever we can to shield Reid. If that means more time forward so be it but it's going to get ugly with him being our number 2 mid. Yeo out means our entire development plan of reid need to be redone.

Sounds like he kept him pretty quiet then?

Not much to complain about bar the result. We were outplayed for much of the match yet could easily have won the game. Big step forward from last week and last year.

Positives:
  • Young players were impressive.
  • Ginbey and Chesser impacted the match.
  • Jack Williams was hugely impressive, not far away from plucking that last mark either
  • Jake is looking bloody amazing. Wish he had that last shot just for the coleman race.
  • Bailey Williams continues to impose himself on marking contests
  • JD getting better each week
NEGATIVES:
  • Injuries our long lost friend
  • Costly turnovers through unforced errors

Spot on. The only edit I would make to this is Cripps as the first negative. Directly cost us a win.

It's kind of amazing that we were so close when you consider the amount of passengers and downright liabilities we had out there tonight.

Including in the coaches box.

Continuing to allow them to have a spare which was killing us whilst whoever was our spare wasn't doing anything.

Shades of 2019 v Tigers at the G.

Negatives
  • Yeo injury. Gutted
  • Cripps tough guy act from a piss weak player cost us a draw, possibly win
  • Ryan, Sheed and Edward’s to the WAFL. Not good enough.
  • The cramps to key players like Waterman and Reid. Get the pickle juice in at 3/4 time if you have to.
  • Petrucelle will always be an athlete masquerading as a footballer. Decisions and skills are poor.

Positives
  • Kept the game close. Could have been blown away in the 2nd quarter
  • Reid only cramp and not a hamstring
  • Ginbey and Williams stepped up
  • a win would be nice, but we aren’t a finals team, so a higher draft pick is the result tonight. Silver lining
Agreed 💯 with everything you posted here
