I mean, have a look at both teams…. GWS literally have a top 10 pick playing in every position on the field, we’ve got maybe 3… the top end talent differential between the squads is enormous and it shows in the skill level

Lyon & Misson can stick their heads as far as they like up each others backsides, but our injuries and suspensions will cost us any chance of playing finals this year.

Saints got away with a quick start and threatened to actually hit the front, however, it didn't eventuate and Butler who had entrenched the thumb by this point got ejected for the tenacious Hugo Garcia, who promptly started showing people how to tackle properly in midfield. Sadly, this had the effect of the defense hanging back a little and with the transition still a bit s**t, they started taking I50 marks to extend the lead back out and increase it to 29pts.

Really with this draw which is ridiculous, these stupid rules, the casual way umpires apply them from week to week, synthetic clubs like GWS and GC still getting academy kids nobody else can get etc, losing interest.

Simply don't ******* go to ground. There was no need for it.

The rule was introduced to stop players from sliding in with the knees and hitting player who was already first to the ball. Byrnes got there first and committed. The other guy was second, spectated and got rewarded

That rule is an absolute joke.

Because one player had his leg broken once.

You line up for a shot. The worst is it doesn’t go through but at least you give it a go rather than try give it off to someone in a worse position.

I traded him into my Supercoach team a couple of weeks ago and the last two games he has been awful.

I will be trading him out next week even if he isn't injured.

We are just having a fumbly, skill error start to the season. Dunno how you fix that.

Players need space and also clean skills (from other teammate) to execute good skills, we have neither.. fix the space issue, stop the ultra flood, and train the players to take the game on, break tackles, kick to leads under pressure, handball to team mates streaming forwards.

But most importantly, invest in the midfield, you see how Brad Crouch helped us last 2 seasons,at least break even there. we give ourselves a chance. Apart from Dow, if we also brought in a genuine tap ruckman, then a Wines or Matt Crouch, it would have moved the needle, add on our developing young players.

No point having speed or players with skills if you can’t get win the ball CLEANLY and can give it to an outside players to execute cleanly.. We just rely on hack kicks and rushed handball to win clearances, no wonder the subsequent chain of kicks or handballs are filled with fumbles, hospital handballs.
