Some clubs have record cap space and a “good” players wage will be a lot closer to the $1m mark per season.

$1.5-$2m per season is about to become the norm for elite players.

Plenty of clubs have cap space this year and generally across most sports generally you see some terrible contracts thrown out when that happens.

He is an okay player who a few times a year has some special performances if you are lucky. Worth the salary of an above average best 22 player, any more is an overpay. Anyone paying enough to trigger band 1... Good luck to them.

Zuurhar isnt elite.

He above average. A $650 to $700k player max. North will pay more to keep him.

You are totally overrating him and his output.

You needed minimum 800000 last year which will only have gone up. Even with the cap space increase Zurhaar is not attracting that money.

They already. Did that last year and were widly condemed for purposely fixing the result. Again.

Maybe they will again. Its how the AFL operate. Broad guidelines open to interpretation so they can do what they feel is right at the time.
