The Peel arrangement is working just fine, why **** with it?

I enjoyed it for one reason alone and that was the 2017 WAFL GF.

Not only Zac Dawson kicked a goal, he also got a premiership medal. Also it angered a certain Saints supporter that has a personal hatred towards Ross Lyon and the umpires, who follows Subi too.

The only thing I can think of is that there will be more players playing league instead of reserves.

Our players all play league, only Meek plays reserves but that is due to having too many rucks and not due to Peel not playing him

Is there really anything about the Peel Alignment that would be significantly improved with a standalone reserves side?

Shepherd seems fully on board with our development goals, young brigade seem to be bonding and developing quite well.
I can't think of any Roger Kerr/Casey Sibosado-type situations that have popped up since it began?

Think we should avoid throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Pretty sure freo get to choose the coach and pay for his salary........so he'd probably want to be on board

West Coast will still be forking out. It's the only way WAFC survives.

I'd rather keep our alignment in tact, watch and see what the Eagles do and how they go about it. Learn from their mistakes / see what could be done better over the next couple of years so when / if we have our own reserves team we can avoid as many faults when we begin to splurge big money, time and resources.

It would be nicer to have peel closer to Cockburn but aside from that I think it's a good relationship for both parties
