It's back, hopefully bigger and better, for 2011.
The Concept:
Choose one Melbourne player each week who you think will kick a goal.
The Rules:
You can only choose a player once.
If said, player fails to kick a goal that week, YOU'RE OUT.
You can choose a back-up player in case of a late withdrawal.
Feel free to change your selection - up until the deadline.
Deadline is an hour before the game each week.
If you don't pick, you'll automatically get the player named at Full Back for that week (has Warnock even kicked a goal?)
Last man standing wins... don't ask me what they win though. Eternal glory, I say.
Here's last year's thread for reference:

Bring the lolz.
Round 1 - Melbourne vs. Carlton... the competition started with 41 players, and almost half were knocked out as we capitulated to Carlton. That left 23 for Round 2.
Round 2 - Melbourne vs. Essendon, Round 11... only 4 were eliminated as the Dees had their best win of the year. Good times.
Round 3 - Melbourne vs. Collingwood, Round 12, Queen's Birthday... Carnage. Not much more to say, really. 10 of 19 knocked out, only 3 goalkickers in Sylvia, Howe and Jurrah. What a terrible day. The Apocalypse returned with a vengance. Main culprits were Watts and Green (again).
Round 4 - Melbourne vs. Fremantle, Round 13. The rollercoaster continued! All 10 remaining competitors got through, even those whose default picks were Frawley. Lol.
Round 5 - Richmond vs. Melbourne, Round 14. A good win, but a couple were let down by laziness/Russian/Petterd. 6 remain for Round 6.
Round 6 - Bulldogs vs. Melbourne, Round 15. Enough said about this debacle already
Two eliminated, we're down to the pointy end of the competition with only four left.
Round 7 - Melbourne vs. Port, Round 17. And then there were two...
Round 8 - Melbourne vs. Hawthorn, Round 18.[/B] Sigh.
1. Wise Guy Sam: [Newton, Green, Jurrah, Sylvia, Watts, Howe, Petterd] Dunn
2. Theseventhhamster: [Newton, Green, Jurrah, Sylvia, Howe, Watts, Petterd] Maric
And the winner is.. Wise Guy Sam!!!
Congrats! You win the grand prize of nothing!
And so the competition concludes... it's a good concept on the surface but it peters out after a while. It's been a pleasure, gents.
