Dow, Clark, Webster, Howard, Schoenmaker, McLelland, Collard, Keeler, Hayes, Hastie,Wood, Paton, Hotton, O’Connell all played a 4x 15 scratch match. Not sure who others were, possibly Sandy players. Exciting to see Dow get the first centre clearance, he certainly knows a thing or two about inside midfield play. Also a well directed kick from Dow to Hayes for a goal, was a sight for sore eyes. Dow appeared to run out the game ok as did Hayes.
Campbell was running laps by himself and Crouch, Henry, Heath and Allison were in the rehab group. Crouch and Henry both running strongly without any strapping. Some of the senior guys were on the bikes inside or in the pool.

Dow clearly above this level and it was good to see both he and Clark dashing out of the centre. Dow also involved in quite a few chains of play. Schoenmaker lining up on Dow for centre ball up’s. O’Connell, the Irishman, has excellent skills and was often directing play, he will be handy as a backup and wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a seniors game this year.

Is Ari playing in the midfield?

Where does Irish play?

He's been getting midfield time late in VFL games too so it looks like we could be developing him into a Jordan Dawson-type off HB and through mids with that elite left boot

Daniel Rich started as a mid too. Started playing hybrid before moving to a permanent HBF. Think he won a rising star as a mid even.

I'm surprised Wood and Paton are playing, are they ahead of schedule and a chance for Port Adelaide?

Geez if we have King, Dow, Clark, Howard, Hayes, Wood, Paton all available next week, we could see wholesale changes.

Dow for Jones
Clark for Butler (move Hugo forward)
Howard for Cordy
King for Hammer
Wood/Hayes for Sharman
Paton for Bonner?

Hmm didn't pick up on that, Wood playing the scratch match too?! Must be in no-contact vest surely.

I actually wouldn't mind Ari Scabiesmonster coming in for Coops. Coops looks best as a third tall. Dow for Jones looks the best option still. Most will be under done but Jones is so bad that half a Dow would still be better.

Gee I wouldn't be tipping out Bonner, thought he was one of their best v WB.

Plus against his former side  Not a good call IMHO

Fair but they have so much leg speed that I feel like Bonner could get exposed really easily. And they pressure very well which doesn't help Bonner with his kicking, as we saw vs Essendon

Thanks for the report.

Do you think Dow is ready for senior selection next week? or anybody else for that matter?

That’s great to see so many guys who have on the injured list playing.
