Taylor Whitford to coach Casey next year as well.. he must be the youngest VFL coach in history??
2 big losses with Whitford and Cavallaro gone so far for Altona.

The St Albans and Deer Park saga of which competition they play in isn't over quite yet. EDFL clubs met in private recently, they are furious that CEO Kyte and the current Board unanimously approved this major change without any club consultation, discussion or plan with costs, benefits or reasoning. The CEO has now been sacked apparently, over this and many other issues. The Manager of Senior Football and Netball Leslie will follow soon. There are key Board members that will not be reelected at Decembers AGM, don't poke the bear is the overwhelming feedback.

Who’s the bear?

The EDFL Board and I assume WRFL are elected to represent all their clubs, so PhiloBeddoe don't poke the bear (clubs). The EDFL have had experienced, collaborative and decisive Boards for over 40 years now, not currently however its a mess. The CEO and staff should make all the day to day decisions, clubs should only have impute into major game changing ones that effect them all. The previous CEO's put excellent business cases to clubs explaining why new clubs from the RDFL like Rupertswood and Sunbury Kangaroos should join. Same deal with Coburg Districts from the WRFL 10 years back now, they were all approved and came in. With St Albans and Deer Park basically nothing was presented to clubs, just they have been approved. Sorry for the long winded answer however it needed explaining. EDFL clubs may or may not have wanted them to join, they didn't get the chance to discuss it. The matter is now with AFL Vic, however they are very aware of how unhappy all EDFL clubs are.

Extraordinary the EDFL clubs weren't consulted and briefed on what is a major decision and change for that league.

So the CEO and Football Ops Manager and some of the Board are gone, what a mess.

Wonder if the Saints at least, are having second thoughts?
