Rabbitohs: Taane Milne's two-match suspensions means a recall on the wing for Izaac Tu'itupou Thompson, while there are changes in the pack as well following the 34-point loss to the Storm in Round 8. Tom Burgess shifts back to the bench, with Davvy Moale starting at prop, while Keaon Koloamatangi is set to be used in the front row for a second-straight week. Michael Chee-Kam starts in the second row.
Panthers: Sunia Turuva returns to the backline after being given the week off by coach Ivan Cleary in Round 8, so there's no place for Paul Alamoti despite him scoring tries in back-to-back weeks for Penrith. New Zealand Test front-rower Moses Leota is back on deck after a week out with a shoulder complaint, but Scott Sorensen remains sidelined with a knee problem.

Sea Eagles: Captain Daly Cherry-Evans has been named to play and will take his place in the starting side after he was successful in having his Dangerous Throw charge downgraded to a grade one offence. Ethan Bullemor comes into the starting back row in place of Haumole Olakau'atu, who accepted a two-match for suspension for his role in the same tackle which saw Cherry-Evans charged. Toafofoa Sipley returns from a knee injury on the bench.
Raiders: Ricky Stuart has made a handful of changes following last week's 40-0 drubbing at the hands of the Sharks, with Albert Hopoate taking over from rookie Chevy Stewart at fullback and veteran Nick Cotric replacing James Schiller on the wing. Elliott Whitehead's return from injury in the second row sees Simi Sasagi drop out of the 17.

Broncos: Ezra Mam (finger) and Selwyn Cobbo (shoulder) return after missing the Round 8 win over the Wests Tigers, in what are the only two changes for Kevin Walters' side. Mam takes over from the injured Jock Madden at five-eighth, while Cobbo's comeback bumps Corey Oates out of the side, with Jesse Arthars shifting from centre to the wing.
Roosters: Veteran winger Daniel Tupou is back from a week out with a knee complaint and takes the spot of the injured Michael Jennings, while Victor Radley has been included in the reserves as he works his way back from the hamstring injury that saw him miss ANZAC Round. Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii joins Joey Manu in the centres after shifting to the wing as injury cover last week.

Bulldogs: Following a week off with the bye, Kurt Mann is named to start at lock after overcoming a hand injury and could yet be joined by Jacob Preston, who is a chance of returning from the jaw injury that has kept him out since Round 4 after being included in the reserves. Connor Tracey is again the preferred option at fullback with Blake Taaffe on the bench.
Wests Tigers: Benji Marshall has retained the same 17 which went down to the Broncos in Round 8, with skipper Api Koroisau set to play despite suffering back problems last week and rugby union convert Solomon Alaimalo keeping his spot on the wing. Starford To’a has been named in the extended squad and could return for his first game since suffering an ankle injury in Round 2.

Titans: Despite his side picking up their first win of the season last week, Des Hasler has made two unforced changes to his backline, with Alofiana Khan-Pereira and Aaron Schoupp dropping out in place of Phillip Sami and Harley Smith-Shields. Representative prop Moeaki Fotuaika is out with concussion, so Joe Stimson starts at prop. David Fifita is named to start but could make a late switch to the bench, as has been the case in recent weeks.
Storm: Tyran Wishart's versatility is on full display once again after he was named to start on the wing in place of Xavier Coates (hamstring). Wishart's usual spot on the bench is taken by Bronson Garlick this week. Nelson Asofa-Solomona has been named despite picking up an injury concern on ANZAC Day. Playmaker Cameron Munster will play his 200th NRL game.

Cowboys: Heilum Luki is named to play for the first time since being injured in Round 2, with his return on the bench coming at the expense of veteran Jake Granville who drops back to the wider reserves. Former Warriors Rookie of the Year Viliami Vailea will make his club debut in the centres, replacing Tom Chester who is out with a hamstring injury.
Dolphins: A huge boost for coach Wayne Bennett with Felise Kaufusi and Connelly Lemuelu named to make their return from injury and skipper Jesse Bromwich set to shake off a calf issue from Round 8 and take the field. His younger brother Kenny is out though, after failing a HIA in the loss to the Knights. Oryn Keeley is the other player who drops out of the 17.

Knights: Adam O'Brien has named an unchanged 17 from last Sunday's win over the Dolphins, although Jacob Saifiti could be in doubt after failing to finish that game due to a lower leg injury which saw him require crutches post-match. David Armstrong will go again at fullback after making a try-scoring debut in ANZAC Round.
Warriors: A timely injection of experience for the Kiwi side as they aim to end a three-game winless streak, with veteran back-rower Kurt Capewell returning from a throat injury and Bunty Afoa set to play after time out with a hamstring injury. That bumps rookie Jacob Laban back to the bench, while Paul Roache and Zyon Maiu'u drop out of the side.

Sharks: Just one change to the side who put 40 on the Raiders last Sunday, with Toby Rudolf coming back in on the
bench at the expense of Tuku Hau Tapuha, who reverts to be the replacement player. Daniel Atkinson will again pair up with Nicho Hynes in the halves.
Dragons: The absence of Mosese Suli due to concussion sees Zac Lomax move from the wing to the centres, with Mikaele Ravalawa coming in on the flank after missing Round 8 with a knee problem. Luciano Leilua has been named in the reserves and could yet make his return from a calf injury.

Also, this always intrigues me. Does every NRL ground play loud music (usually some whiskery Dad Rock) during every brief stoppage in play? I used to think it was more a QLD thing, but it seems to be everywhere nowadays. Does everyone approve? Isn't it, well, a bit bogan?

The afl does it now too.

I’d say it’s more a modern entertainment thing than a bogan thing.

Shocking... They deserve to be last! I feel shame the only win they had was against the Bulldogs lol.
The dogs really should’ve won that game. Some very iffy decisions went to Souffs way.

I wanna know what on earth is going on at Souths.

I realise they have some injuries/suspensions right now but they started the season as a top 4 fancy. Added Wighton to Latrell, Johnston, Walker, Burgess, Murray, Cook, Koloamatangi and they’ve just fallen off a ******* cliff.
Some injuries? Cook played 40 mins at fullback.

They're missing AJ, Campbell Graham, Tatola, Kennar and Illias. Then last night, neither Hawkins or Gray made it past 40 mins. Latrell obviously missing through suspension.

No club in the country survives well with that number of their backline out. Not even Penrith.

They also didnt start the season with all those injuries did they?

They dropped Illias and everyone bar Graham and AJ youve listed has a pretty suitable replacement, none of them are Cleary or Haas.

They started dropping like flies early on.

If Penrith lost Edwards/Turuva/May and then lost some of their replacements on top, they'd struggle as well. Michael Chee Kam started at centre last night. That's absolutely gross.

I'm no fan of Souths (that 20m tap try last night was disgusting) but there's mitigating circumstances at the moment. Yes they should've been better from the get go but realistically, they just continued on the form line from late last season.

Until they get some troops back, this will be Souths. They'll try hard at times but they just won't be good enough.

Yeh again im not just speaking about last night though.

They were never beating Penrith, likely with a full strength list.

Im talking the whole season, theyve won one game and were tipped as top 4, theyve had unavailability to varying degrees the whole season but frankly every team has that.
