According to PlayHQ Masala are fielding 2 sides in the Thirds, so what's their excuse for not staying in Div 3 like everyone else?
Its despicable, wrong way to go about things, also, the teams there up against will smash them, Ajax 3s are better than masala’s 1s last year, some very very good football clubs competing in the 3s.

Probably why they went down to the thirds competition. If your saying they are worse then a 3s team how do you expect them to be competitive against the 1s

Incorrect it’s a cheap shot at a flag, their stupid enough to go into the 3s as they think it’s a cop out when reality every strong vafa club plays in it and commonly hosts a swag of classy players who don’t train. It’s just poor judgment you’re much better going into divisional footy and putting your club into a divisional platform despite how much you suck. Notice how no one bags eley park? They could easily be the pu$$¥s’s that masala are but instead they show their balls and crack on with footy despite the difference in class.

Does anyone know if the Swinny vs Chadstone game will be at St James? It has TBC on the website.

It seems a lot of grounds within boroondara council have TBA against the matches for all clubs. Not sure when it will be updated.

They council did have trouble with grounds being suitable for football early in the season last year.

We've been kicked off the ground this week.

Looks like the geniuses down at Elsternwick Park are struggling with the new system.

Firstly, disclaimer: former Masala player and president here, but haven’t been involved in the club for 5 years since living abroad.

Masala have played divisional footy for 10 years despite numerous occasions going the year with 1-2 wins and forfeiting games and going winless in the 2s. Other clubs such as SFX and STJ dropped from higher divisions down to clubbies but did not cop the lashing you just gave Masala. They would have had justification to drop to clubbies many years ago but stuck it out.

You need to consider the gravity of D3/D4 being merged here, player exodus suggests Masala would have been on the end of at least 5 x 200pt+ losses. I dare say if there was a D4 competition this year Masala would have been involved.

If dropping to clubbies meant the club would survive by retaining some players then anyone in the footy world should agree it was the best decision.

It will be interesting to see how Masala does go tomorrow to get a read of the relative standard of the 3’s.
