Trevor Barker Oval is a bit of a joke. Ask a VAFA official why can’t they have the southern gate open to make it practical for disabled to access the grandstand easily. Reply. You get concession entry at the main gate. I said “Not concerned about that, just ease of getting to the grandstand where seating is available.” Reply. You get concession at the main gate and we have 34 finals, can’t get enough volunteers. What a lot of bs, as if they don’t take enough $$$ to pay someone. Try using a walker on that sloping grass when you are unsteady enough on flat paths. Rant over

Great win for GE. Into C grade. Tough call in next week's GF but you never know. Reserves into GF too. Un19A lost.
Was a good game at Ferndale. Didn't make them pay in the first half.

I've always found there's been problems at trevor barker aswell. Coburg city oval is great (although hardly used) Garvey oval is great (and probably the best ground in terms of car parking and accessibility) I've actually never been to Elsternwick Park during finals so can't judge. Whitefries is alright other than the massive slopes and mud pit in the middle of the oval. Waverly oval is good aswell

Can't wait for tomorrow's Grand Finals.

The Gryphs seniors will have to lift if they are to beat Oakleigh after two convincing losses in the last month.
They key match ups will be on Oakleigh's big forwards who have kicked big bags in both wins.

The ressies beat Kew in the 2nd Semi hopefully can bring that form again.

Good luck to all tomorrow. Looking forward to a beer in the social rooms at half time.

Good luck to all involved at GE and the Krushers in the GF this weekend. Two quality teams and IMO, the best two this year in the comp get to go at it for the cup. May the best team on the day win.

Chump :trophy:

Jon Edgar once again winning flags for fun. No wonder Gun Island calls him super coach! Say what you like about JE but success follows him wherever he goes. Is that 3 at the Gryphs? And well done to the GE folk who frequent these parts. Unfairly ridiculed but many others respect your club for keeping the various entities alive. Go well in the Premier Divisions.

Quite a bit of study from Jon over the last two hidings by Oakleigh. Jon's homework and team structure shut down the Oakleigh two man team. What a job the youngsters did esp the 19 year old ruckman. Start the plan for next year Griffs. Bad luck to the reserves who lost their gf but a great effort overall. Also a mention to the u19A team and the girls who made the finals. Terrific year for the clubs six sides.

Have to say it old mate a fantastic win.
The holding of them in the 2nd Q was the set up for the blitzkrieg in the 3rd. JE did his homework after the SF no doubt.
Oakleigh didn't give anything after HT and were smashed by the Combine midfield , i thought Maxfield was BOG , ANYHOW STROBS ENJOY THE MOMENT
