2024 Ladder Predictions

Perhaps that would be the case if we had a McKay playing in our side but we don't. I think it's likely we go 3-3. Should beat Carlton, Port and Gold Coast.
It’s funny that you clearly have some “arrogance-residue” left over from previous glories.

MaKay won’t be the first key forward to struggle against The Great Freo Stopping Machine.

In fact both McKays have had great starts to the season.

Maybe finals, but looking at your draw it has been a pretty easy one. Geelong have not really played a contender yet.
At some point people are going to give us credit for winning.
It's ok, didn't give us credit for winning in 22 until late in the season when they realised, "oh s**t they may actually be good"

Just shows majority of BF posters don't watch Geelong games.

It’s because you’ve only beaten St Kilda, Adelaide, Hawks and Dogs.

All of which probably won’t make finals this year.

Yes, and teams can only beat the sides they have encountered, but in saying that it is our right to wait on judging Geelong until they play some more substantial teams.
Its not even really about that, Geelong have won with two extremely key injuries leaving a sub par midfield, and now still having 8 GMHBA games and a softer draw because finishing lower... No one is saying Geelong is in some box seat for a flag or even top 4.... just saying they are better than most flogs here predicted.

Then apply that logic to everybody. It's only fair.

Next week is easy for Geelong too with North Melbourne but I feel like

Round 6 vs Brisbane
Round 7 vs Carlton
Round 8 vs Melbourne
Round 9 vs Port Adelaide
Round 10 vs Gold Coast
Round 11 vs GWS

will tell us a lot more about where Geelong are.

It’s be fantastic if we can be 5-0 with a win against North before that stretch. If we then go 3-3 we’re in a really good spot coming into the bye and soft back half of the draw.

How many more games do we need to win until it becomes acceptable to you?

It's the same bullshit on Reddit and Facebook.

Cats win: "HUUUUUR DUUUUUR UMPIRES!" (Haven't won a FK count this year)
Cats Lose: "HUUUR DURRR YOU'RE OLD AND SLOW"

Same playbook every single year. At some point people just have to admit they don't like Geelong because they suffer from Tall Poppy Syndrome. It must be infuriating to have to go through the up and down cycle of a rebuild while another team just continuously competes almost every single year.

It's fine to not like a team that's their prerogative, just wish people could admit they are flawed and stop hiding behind the pretenses of "outside factors"
The evidence is here on BF. Go look at the Ladder predictors, or the constant stream of opposition fans posting about Geelong (weird complex to be creating threads about someone else's club negatively)

I like the order but I think the bottom 4 teams have way too many wins.
