Went into the Lions preview thread and they had a thorough opening post with footy analysis followed by lots of football discussions.

Absolute weirdos, man.
What kind of weird campaigner goes on big footy to chat about footy

It's possible. Club will argue it's "low impact" not "medium impact". They already have the statement from the Crows player as evidence. If it gets downgraded then it's just a fine.
Arguing low instead of medium would be the only possible argument.

It’s already been graded as careless so they can’t be arguing for something lesser there, and the contact was definitely high.

“Low – Minimal or no impact on the game, and Player continues to play unabated or was able to play, and No ongoing issues. Medium – Clearly some impact on the Player, and / or the Player left the field for a lengthy period of time, and / or some possible lower level ongoing treatments.”

They will argue there was minimal impact which fits the definition of low because all that happened was Soligo hit the deck, felt his face briefly, and then took his free kick. Minimal in the scheme of things. You could argue most high free kicks given away gets a reaction somewhat similar to Soligo’s.

The AFL would have to argue that constitutes “clearly some impact on the player” which is pretty vague, and the other two components for medium didn’t happen.

Haven't they changed the way they grade impact in head high hits to stop players getting off under such circumstances?

I'm thinking that this might be a loss for the Demons.
No Pickett and Charlie Cameron about to hit form.
They played the Kangas last round who literally have the worst backline I've seen in years. You can't read into that too much. Potentially gives their good players some confidence, but they won't have it so easy this week. I think we've primed ourselves to win this then have a week off. 4 in a row is good form. Agreed Koz could be a loss if he misses. There's no one who can do what he does on our list. Neale, Daniher and Andrews are the 3 we need to keep quiet. We do that, we win and win well
