Good luck
Did you see what I added and removed there? I came to my senses ever so fast.

What did I just walk into.....reminds me of Ragnar Lodbrok (Vikings) children.
Sorry, I'll see myself out.
Bjorn and Ubbe>the restI'll be Bjorn. I know he died, but he was cooler than the rest.
We have a long injury list - I agree. The informed decision I have is years of having close to if not the worst injury list and it continues this year.
That is absolute fact.
What also stacks up over history is premiership teams in the overwhelming vast majority of years just do not have the level of injuries we continue to procure.
I don’t pretend to be someone that knows what the hell is or isn’t right it’s not my speciality (which is in the tech space), though I can look at it like a CEO of any company where they might not know the ins and outs but they employ people who should know and hold them accountable.
Russell absolutely is accountable, and he continues to be found wanting.
Took far too long to finally move on the accountable recruiter/s in our last rebuild that looked like producing something really meaningful, and then it was too late…we’d ****ed it totally.

We also however, play a strenuous gamestyle & have a number of players with question marks over their preparation &/or ability to get through a season.
Who do we replace him with?Let's be honest here our club has no idea when it comes to managing injuries...honestly AR give it up and let's get
Someone in that knows their s**t. Fixes one knee in Adelaide and is the messiah. Won't be long until other team forums have a piss take thread about him. He could be our dodo...imagine years of injuries and we keep going going with this guy. Sack him already
Not the dreaded piss take thread, best get on top of that before it destroys the footy clubLet's be honest here our club has no idea when it comes to managing injuries...honestly AR give it up and let's get

You're right I just annoyed with our injuries...but we seem fit at least. So yeh maybe over reacted...againWho do we replace him with?
Do you really want to disrupt our season like that? Bringing in someone new, everything would need to be done from the ground up - getting a rapport, knowing the players, going through every single injury recovery plan, etc. It might set us back if we suddenly get rid of him.
No current season stats available
Does anyone still think our fitness and injury isn't a massive issue holding us back?
nobody knows. we're not fitness guru's so only time will tell. I guess some of our players are more resilient than others
Jon Ralph came on late after the game and reported that McGovern spoke before the game (not sure how to find these reports but if you have Kayo would be at the very end 4.30H time stamp) and said Carlton had a big block of training that really pushed the edge to get the players fitter then ever before knowing that can cause soft tissue injuries down the track. Said Russell did the same for the Hawks in their premiership years.
So sounds like a directive from the club with Russell in charge with the backing of the club and coach. Looks to have gone wrong but there was a plan in place and may pay off later in the year.
yes, it is possible any high performance manager may not be able to reform perennially injured players. I think it becomes more a list management question in those circumstances.People appear to be ignoring the possibility that our injury list could be even worse if we didn't have Russell. How about that huh?

This then Shifts the discussion to the coaches and list management for continuing to hold these players. Is it really clear cut that no High Performance team could keep Martin/Cunners on the park? We blame the players and it could be the players. But within their prone bodies is there a chance another high performance team could put together a fitness programme that could see them playing.
I look into my crystal ball and the answer comes back, quite possibly.
Could another High Performance programme better manage Walsh to start round 1? Walsh was firing just a couple of weeks out. Then he wasnt and given he has back issues....was it accident or load! I look into my crystal ball and it comes back, how the F do i know!
The key point here...as I see it, is that I'm posting meaningless s**t which is what this site is all about. The only thing its missing is something the phone apps have...notifications to post more useless crap.
