3rds Coach appointed, all committee positions filled at their AGM, looks like all systems go. Or are you just talking about a Senior coach?

Hasn’t got a coaching job yet Kat the Rushy position has fell through so they are still without a coachFred has a job for 2023.

Senior coach was meant to be announced today
After talking to the club 2day Freddy has decided to pull out of the coaches job! He was 100% keen, but due to unfortunate circumstances he didn't feel the position was right for him or the club..... He was noticeably shattered because he knew alot was riding on his decision!
After all the hard work the club did to create a committee it now seems their issue is with the player's! They haven't got any so have applied to the league for special circumstances which I believe was knocked back? They are trying once more & if knocked back again then unfortunately it looks like Rushy could be closing the doors for 2023!! It's such a sad day for country footy.....
What were the special circumstances they asked the league for ?
6 a side with the mercy rule available to them after quarter time!

I’d say just the 1 side for the season they would struggle to field 2 sides. That would be best case scenario to survive past this year.
Just fielding a 2nds side isn't much different.
If it's what it takes to help keep the club alive, as we have good jr netball numbers and look to be fielding a 3rds team, then what's the harm?? Gives the club a chance to sound out a senior coach for next year and hopefully some players, and gives the boys who want to play for Rushy that opportunity.
But hey if you're happy for another country club to die... thats your prerogative

I’m sure they can bounce back with a lot of hard work.Agree if they can get thru this season one way or another and plan for the following season they can bounce back but getting thru this season critical.
Hopefully whatever players they had this season will hang around.

Then Clubs who get drawn to play Rushworth twice play 14 Home and Away games for a year. Spot on , Yarroweyah unfortunately found themselves in the same position on the eve of last season . They did a awesome job of hosting a final and have now really got things going particularly through their social media much like longwood .
Every avenue needs to be explored to keep footy clubs going as having a footy/ netball club Has a massive impact on the town socially and economically .
As we spoke about too mate, if Rushy closes it's doors then it would be the biggest township to do so that I can remember? With a population of around 2500 people it's sad to think that a town would completely lose it's Saturday tradition!
& that's not just for us footy nuts, you've also got senior & junior netball that will all either have to find new clubs or not play! This isn't just about the saturday scoreboard, this is also about the bigger picture, people's livelihoods! The things we look so forward to every week during the football/netball season from Sunday to Saturday & so on!!
No matter what club you play for or support in whatever league etc it really hit's home & makes you start to think how much trouble is country footy really in as these larger towns start to struggle? If this isn't a sign that a massive overhaul is needed then I'm not sure what is & I'm not sure how far we have to fall or what else has to happen for actions to be taken!! It might not be next season, or in our careers but if things don't change it won't be more clubs we lose, it'll start being leagues!!

Just there for a look. A fair chunk of last seasons senior list ( obviously without knowing the ones possibly not returning), only 3-4 there last week and around 5 this week. Also understanding of personal/work/life circumstances as to why blokes can't get there. Just an observation.

Fred Andronaco will be Brett Foleys assistant in 2023 the highly experienced and traveled coach will be good for the the inexperienced senior coach who’s appointment still puzzles me a little Fred had a year at murch in2005 ass to Mat Mcdonald and as already stated on here has had stints at 5 or 6 Kdl clubs including a senior coaching role at the Gum
