Multiplat Fallout 4

I'm a few years late, but just only figuring out now the issues with PS4 to PS5 saves to the cloud. Going from disc to digital as well. On top of that, one of the DLCs (Automatron) causes the game to crash if it's installed.

Very frustrating after downloading the game a couple of times over, only to find my FO4 disc after buying the digital version (which now needs download the game again grrrrrr)

I downloaded it last weekend to have a mess around and that's when I found out about Automatron crashing the game on startup. I couldn't be bothered redownloading again without that mod. I assume that will be fixed with the upcoming update.

I'm not sure the issues with the saves but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bit messed up. I was wondering why when I downloaded it the PS dashboard said I only had about 8 hours played. I got the platinum on PS4 so it should be way more than that. When I played it on PS4 it was disc, but this version is digital. Not only that at one stage I purchased the complete edition with all DLC at one stage and I think now on PS5 it's counting that as a different version of the game.

After finishing the show I now can't wait for the update to jump back in on a fresh new save.

I was umming and ahing about starting a new save, but ended up getting a refund for the month of Essential and just going to start new.

I don't want to make this post a Sony bash, but with PS+ no real benefit, exclusives not as many as in the past - I think the PS5 is going to get traded in after I'm done with FO4 and whatever stuff I have in my backlog downloaded. Series X works better as a companion hardware to PC with Play Anywhere.

I hear you. I'm seriously contemplating the PS5 being my last console, or at the very least I'll be waiting a couple years once there are a bunch of worthwhile games to play.

Until you realise that Yakuza games will be getting made forever, which will s**t all over those plans. :p

I started looking up non-stealth builds and came across this. It says no mods but surely this exceeds build limit? Console build limit + finally introducing native ultrawide support are the main reasons I'm considering playing the new update on PC. Though I was initially looking forward to chilling in the wasteland again in my recliner on PS5.

When you reach build limit go to your workbench pick up weapons, they need to have individual mod names - combat shotgun, automatic combat shotgun etc. The more the better. Open your Pip-boy and drop them to the ground. Turn on workshop mode and store all the weapons. Each weapon stored will reduce your settlement size.

Cheers for the work around. That must have been what old mate has done in that video as even through Youtube you can tell he is having performance issues.

Time to start thinking of how I'm going to play this time and in a way that doesn't involve stealth.

Will probably end up stealth again, just like the 10 runs of Skyrim as a stealth archer that I always said never again.
Wolverine claws - for the stackable bleed proc as well as the reasonable damage - high endurance, take solar powered and regen perks as well as drug addiction perks and play as an invincible drug taking alcohol guzzlin' deathclaw wrestler. Beeline railroad for ballistic weave if you're playing on higher difficulties and need the armor.

My preferred build.

Was thinking of a chem playthrough at some point. That sounds really cool so I'll keep that in mind 👍🏻

I've been thinking of a cowboy gunslinger after a recent small arms run through of FO1. Though after the show and the popularity of Cooper I think everyone will be playing like this shortly 😄

A luck based VATS gunslinger is extremely viable, I've got a few of those as well. The problem is F4 is the best shooting in the series, and you're turning every encounter into a turn based RPG in which you activate VATS and kill everything in sight.

I've done commando and laser scientist pew pew runs before where I just played it like an FPS and halved the playtime compared to just sneaking around. After having fun recently in F1 just destroying everything with handguns I wanted to see how far I could push VATs in F4 with fast AP replenishment and constantly banking crits. I've also never played 4 with high luck so I want to see how OP I can get early with Idiot Savant and Mysterious Stranger right off the bat.

Only thing I need to work out is what to do about Local Leader as I don't think I'll have much Charisma early on.

Luck is swingy, with the early game being tricky; you don't have the perk points or the level requirements for higher level crit banking or vats replenishment.

The deeper you go, the more OP you are.

Luck/CHA is very, very easy to set up. You don't need the agility - if you need to hit, you've got the crits to do it, and you only need 1 agility to get gunslinger anyway - and you don't even really need the perception because everything you're fighting has low agro radius anyway. You can stack charisma pretty easy.

This is where I'm hoping with high luck/low int and Idiot Savant I can smash levels early by cooking radroaches and other mundane things and hopefully reach for those perks earlier than usual. Might even save scum the first few main quest completions for IS procs.

Save-scumming a big quest reward IS proc is amazing early. Can get 5 levels out of escorting Preston to Sanctuary.

Never played it (or any of the Fallout games), but watched the first 3 episodes of the series and thought I'd check the PSN Store. 6 bucks, would be rude not to.

Probably won't get a chance to play it for a while though.

Buy it and then download the next gen release on the 25th.

Can’t go wrong for $6 on the psn store.
Isn’t the next Gen update supposed to be out today? It’s not on the store?

Think it’s usually the day after whatever date is shown for most game releases. So 25th release date in America would be 26th in Australia.
