You could play Burton forward and he’d provide more pressure and maybe even take a mark or kick a goal.

You could go taller with Finlayson and have Georgie up the ground more.

Mead isn’t a forward but showed a lot coming in last night to a wing role. He would provide as much as Jed does playing forward.

Boak doesn’t have goal noise but can run, tackle and generally provide pressure better than Jed.

You could blood Alphabet and see what he’s got.

There are multiple options available.

If any of the half backs are going to be moved forward, it should be Jones.

One of the silliest ideas that gets floated here is the idea that we don't have depth and that this is meant to be some type of criticism. Pretty much every team in the AFL has half a dozen relative spuds in their best 23. No team has depth. The entire talent pool lacks depth because there are way too many teams. Any team that gets injuries will be somewhat exposed. It's just the reality of the competition we play in.

Crows have only really had one big loss, away v Freo. They've also beaten a top 4 team this year and lost a couple by a kick. They aren't as bad as their ladder position suggests. They are punching above their weight.

This is a very even game, especially as we will need to adapt to at least three important changes. Hinkleyball isn't going to cut it, and nor is a 1.8 first quarter.

Big fan of how under Koch its gone from genuine rivalry to product based manufactured rivalry that no one is really all that invested in besides lunkheads.

Now is the time to embrace the adversity, not run from it. A great leader would get on the front foot & seek out Butters, get in the ear of JHF, pull aside Marshall & install some much needed self belief & confidence. Yes, we have our problems, but who doesn’t? Now is the time to fight for every inch of ground, every 50/50 contest, & not give in to external expectations.

We can either choose this time to come of age, or surrender to the weight of expectation & fall away. The Port Adelaide of old would have revelled in this challenge, not be intimidated by it.

I get niether cheese or evans are any good, but atleast Evans is justified on form. Mcentee at no stage of his career warranted selection on form in the 2s.

Burton used to be good, and now he sucks, so hopefully because he was dropped he can go back to being good again. If he is not good again, put Jed in, because Jed has never been good but at least tries to be good.
Finlayson was good but then wasn’t, but then was a little bit good so bring him in.

He actually did this to Jeremy Cameron in the home game against Geelong.

But it was actually more just Cameron dawdling with the ball, rather than some great run down.
