One damning stat against us is since the 2004 flag, we’ve managed to win just 5 away showdowns (wins in 2010, 13, 15, 19 and 21) with 14 losses. Something about the crows growing an extra set of arms and legs, but very worrying still.

One of the silliest ideas that gets floated here is the idea that we don't have depth and that this is meant to be some type of criticism. Pretty much every team in the AFL has half a dozen relative spuds in their best 23. No team has depth. The entire talent pool lacks depth because there are way too many teams. Any team that gets injuries will be somewhat exposed. It's just the reality of the competition we play in.

All I want to see this week is no trash talking from the players during the week as to how much we hate them.

Sick of players talking the talk and not backing it up on game day. Burton was the prime example last year.

I’d argue GWS has very good depth, & the Suns will be in a similar position in 2 years time.

What was baffling, was the decision to send Rozee back on the ground when it was obvious he blew a hammy.

Were mad if we don't bring in clurey.

In recent Showdowns we have had bags kicked on us by Thilthorpe and Gollant because we didn't have enough tall defenders to match up on them.

Clurey is good enough to play on Flog and keep our structure.

Watch us go in short though and have Flog kick 5 on Burton.

Sort of agree but finding spuds in Collingwood's side ATM is difficult.

Plus the deadhead hinkly factor!

SPP is a massive loss given the alternatives available. Evans and McEntee are SANFL players and anasta and Charleston are kids.
Narkle is there and he is way better than McEntee and Evans He is guaranteed 2-3 goals a game .

Narkle has a severe injury and there is every chance he doesn't play again this year, or ever. At the very best he will be back late season.

He's also been extremely s**t this year, he is not averaging 3 goals a game lol

Out: SPP, Aliir, Rozee.

Mead into the 23 for Rozee.

Finlayson was building and should come straight back in also.

The defensive post for Aliir is the interesting selection. I thought Esava looked more confident last night moving into Aliir’s role after half time.

Burton and Clurey are the options. I’d be leaning towards Clurey as the cows play a genuine 3rd tall. Burton to sub.

Team balance. There are no other alternatives
You could play Burton forward and he’d provide more pressure and maybe even take a mark or kick a goal.

You could go taller with Finlayson and have Georgie up the ground more.

Mead isn’t a forward but showed a lot coming in last night to a wing role. He would provide as much as Jed does playing forward.

Boak doesn’t have goal noise but can run, tackle and generally provide pressure better than Jed.

You could blood Alphabet and see what he’s got.

There are multiple options available.

Burton would provide more pressure. Yep ok
