What strawman BS.
So you don't agree with my criticism of those inside the Liberal Party when I accuse them of hypocrisy? I mean, I just want to know what direction the punches are coming from.

If the punches are coming from Dutton - he is punching down.So you don't agree with my criticism of those inside the Liberal Party when I accuse them of hypocrisy? I mean, I just want to know what direction the punches are coming from.
The only purpose of Duttons stance is to try and destabilise Labor. The guy says he laments 'politics of division ' with a straight face
It's diabolical that he can even try to take that stance
He already has those votes. He is going to gain some votes from the far right nutjobs while losing more votes from the centre.
The liberal party are a rabble.
The absolute state of the Libs and Dutton these days.He really is going all our RWNJ now isn't he
Dutton accuses Wong of 'most reckless act' in decades over Israeli-Palestinian two-state solution calls
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton accuses the government of "a clear prejudice towards Israel" after Foreign Minister Penny Wong reiterated support for a two-state solution.www.abc.net.au
FACT: A two-state solution for Israel/Palestine has been bi-partisan Australian policy for decades.
Tony Abbott called for it in 2014:

And when the feck did Israel become our 'ally' btw? They have never been a formal ally of Australia. They are a state with whom we share friendly cordial relations like almost every friggin country in the world.
The policies and actions of the two major parties have never been driven by member numbers have they?My theory is they wont change until they actually lose support from members. Mass exodus type thing.
In the Liberal Party the members decide the candidates and the elected parliamentarians decide the policy.
In the ALP the almost exact opposite is the case, keeping in mind that because the ALP is structurally the political wing of the union movement, the membership is mostly the union movement, so they decide the policy and the party leadership (MPs, union leaders, elected office bearers) decide the candidates except when they devolve that power to the membership, keeping in mind the factions are allocated which seats they get to pick the member (the factions are bricks and mortar in the ALP).
If anything, the movement to the right in the Liberal Party has been a membership reaction to vested interests. But there is still a granting of credit for those who can raise funds.
Just because the membership was stacked by the local Hillsong congregation doesn't mean the Liberal Party is any less democraticChoosing your current Liberal candidates is not something to be proud of. I'm sure Gina and Rupert are happy though.
It's certainly a good advertisement for the ALP dictatorial method.Choosing your current Liberal candidates is not something to be proud of. I'm sure Gina and Rupert are happy though.

Power has corrupted both parties structurally. Both are due for a revolution.
The Greens aren't far behind with their "everyone must speak and believe the same thing or they'll say nasty things in the media"
If I had to choose, I'd rather be a member of a union than a member of a political party.
I suppose that makes me a communist or something.
Communist countries outlaw unions
