I agree with you, this was still a free kick as he was taken out long before the ball was within 5 metres but the amount of hits to the head/over the shoulder and arm grabs not paid, and of course the dirty kidney punch are all worse examples of his being worked over
 
Josh Treacy is our best and smartest forward at the moment. He works his arse off and the delivery to him is either shocking or too slow.

Johnson is starting to stand up and is showing some authority.
It has taken awhile but the coaches have backed him in.
It’s a shame we haven’t seen more of it, or that move like last year of Young
to the centre.
Feels like we will relinquish the shackles once the season is done.
