This is a shock, poor guy , that's hard to take.
Repeat ACL injury is different though, remembering he has ruptured his ACL twice before (2019/2023). Wouldn’t expect him back until round 18+ at a minimum.

Realistically he is out for the year, or we should be preparing for that.
You wonder how much these blows take out of the group mentally as well, especially after where we’ve been the last few years.
We needed to strike, in particular last year, whilst we’ve had such a great injury run, because your luck eventually runs out.
Absolutely, pretty much everything went right last year right down to our opponents in finals which suited us. Murphy going down on game day should have been the difference.

I do hope if our season does go off the rails we stop playing the old guys like Zorko, Lester and Oscar and get some games into the kids like Morris, Brain, HSmith and Torrent
Relax mate we aren’t going directly into a rebuild, we still have a ‘win now’ team IMO although admittedly things did just get a lot harder.

We made it to a Grand Final last year without Doedee on the list, we can do it again.
If Payne can get some mongrel back in his game, with Lester and Gardiner as support we will be fine.
