Harry - Kicking for goal is a massive improvement and that leads to confidence up the field. At times, you felt the air get sucked out when he missed.
Boyd - He has a combination of lockdown defender with great attacking flair in his kicks.
Cotts - Just slightly more consistent and getting to the right places.
Kemp - He will always be attacking, which is why I love him in the team, but is slowly picking his moments better.
McGovern - Before being injured, he was just the perfect defender.
Fogarty - Cemented his role in the team and played that high half forward perfectly, great defensive efforts.
TDK - Becoming more damaging at ground level and up forward.

Those are my players for different reasons that have improved the most.

Coaching staff - I think they worked on improving our turnover game and it has worked a treat. They then listened to Crippa and got Pitto back into the side to help the contested work. If you combine our contested work with this new turnover game, that is the next level for the blues.

Cottrell, McKay, Boyd. Possibly in that order.
But the main improver overall is the running capacity. Closely followed by the belief within the group.
Happy to be proven wrong.

whoever they are, its a real feather in the cap of our development coaches. We have long been pathetic at developing players IMO, preferring to overpay and trade for glamour names(already developed). This is unsustainable and leads to the mediocre results we have had.
Now we have real depth and we will start to see other clubs come hunting for our depth players, which will bring in a constant stream of picks that further enhances our list.

Multiple players improved on last year.

Boyd, Kemp, Cottrell, TDK, Hewett, Cripps, McKay, Fogarty, Kennedy, Carroll, Durdin. Hell, Lewis Young is better than he was last year. Several others are just as good as they were last year.

Agree.

At the start of the year players like Kemp, Cottrell, Carroll and Boyd were probably not in everyone’s best 22, but are playing well and making a case to hold their place in the team.

Harry has improved, not just his kicking but his chasing, leading and tackling - pretty quick for a tall. TDK starting to blossom into a genuine ruck/forward.

Aphrodite has not missed a beat. Nothing is getting through…
Arr0w wasn’t sure if he had gone to hard in the preseason but has definitely gone up a gear and brought others under his wing…
thylacine60 when on the board has been exceptional, just needs to stop getting suspended…
