Effort there. Good signs for some who might need to come in at some point. Just sloppy decision making and skills costing us.

Unfortunately our inside 50’s let us down.

I wonder what the outcome might have been if Francis played more time forward.

But positively - we took it right up to a pretty good VFL side with lots of AFL experience.

Sheldrick a good return.
Snell looked promising.
Ladhams solid.
And Konstanty did some nice things.

And no apparent injuries.

The more experienced players in the team did well but so too did our lads.

Aside from the headline acts (Gus, Big Buller, Francis and McAndrew) I really liked

1. The two Teddies, Will and Ben both of whom had top games - understand why we brought little Teddy over from the WAFL.
2. The endeavour, smarts and skills of little Lugsdin in his limited minutes.
3. The poise, skill and guts of Paddy Snell.

He was a class above but a little rusty. Copped a lot of physical attention but bounced up without complaint.
