Draw would have been good ...the Carlton love fest is annoying.
Melbourne can play out of their butts for the odd quarter or two but then look like a bunch of bush footy players with hangovers. Brayshaw has probably been a bigger loss than first thought.
Good start to the round hopefully Port get up over Geelong in an upset tomorrow and we roll Freo.
I thought the AFL was going to crack down on simulation a while back ? Surely the dangerous tackle was the Carlton player headbutting the ground to draw the free ? Or did it just get shelved because Duckwood was still playing ?
To be honest it was a perfect tackle and there was no slinging action.

Everytime they have beaten us they have surged in a quarter 7-8 goals in a row we end up coming back but always fall short.
Carlton were rubbish for at least half that game. Dees Cleary putrid in the first but probably should have won. Wasn't a great team game by either side. It wasn't like it was tight all night

Well your gut feel was 100% right!
Melbourne will be kicking themselves, should have won. The Blues will obviously take this win as a sign from the gods and pumping up of the divine right to be premiers angle.
