I’d say it pulled in a few in town for LIV golf. 40,000 people from interstate have travelled to Adelaide for the golf.I think that’s just the second non-Showdown, non-Gather Round Port home game to get over 40k since early 2019.

That is a great crowd for Port as they usually don't get above 40k very often at AO hopefully the Cats v Blues will get 85+ tomorrow at the G.I think that’s just the second non-Showdown, non-Gather Round Port home game to get over 40k since early 2019.
Depends if there are any GA admission tickets for sale at the stadium and how many MCC and AFL members turn up!Beautiful day in melbourne today anything is possible for today's crowd
Not to look too far ahead, but a Kings Birthday Eve crowd is looking pretty dam juicy.

Yep cannot wait! It’ll be enormous if both teams are still going well and entrenched in the 8!Not to look too far ahead, but a Kings Birthday Eve crowd is looking pretty dam juicy.

Yeah North need to get out of Tassie. There will be the usual retorts but Tassie just doesn't seem convincing that it's a footy loving state at times.
I don't get the North in Hobart thing. No one cares about them.Howie just said 4,727 at Hobart….
Well its not 'week after week' as they only play in Hobart twice a year. And GC and GWS are both easily smaller supporter bases than North so they are not the smallest team in the comp. They got small crowds in some of those secondary markets you mention even when they were an on field dominant force.Take the smallest team in the comp, who will win their 3rd spoon in 4 years and why are we surprised?
Tasmania is a mini Victoria in terms of support - albeit with a slight preference for Richmond, Hawthorn and St Kilda compared to the Victorian ‘status quo.’
Given this, it is a miracle that 5000 will rock up and watch the smallest Victotian club get slaughtered week after week.
Make no mistake, in every secondary market North have entered - whether it be Sydney, Canberra, the Gold Coast or Tasmania - they've failed to cultivate a following.
Given this, is it any surprise the AFL gave the Dogs the goldfields?
Why would Canberra embrace them as their own?North need to relocate to Canberra, the gap just gets wider and wider for them each year and being in the doldrums this long only makes it worse. They also don't have a natural region to grow into in Victoria and given time Canberra would embrace them as their own. 9 Canberra, 2 marvel (plus Vic away games).
Why would Canberra embrace them as their own?
Not sure if srs.Because they'll be called the Canberra kangaroos. Local kids will follow the local team.
The Giants, to be fair, have done a far better job at growing in Canberra than North ever did in the decade leading up to the Gold Coast move. Not sure if srs.
My family live in the region and everyone they are all GWS members and many people in the region seem to support the Giants according to them.Because they'll be called the Canberra kangaroos. Local kids will follow the local team.
Yep the Giants are now entrenched in Canberra and that is a NO to North. Why would Canberra embrace them as their own?
What an embarrassment for the AFL and footy in general!Howie just said 4,727 at Hobart….
