The ALW GF of only 7,671 at AAMI Park is just pathetic and proves once again the the Matilda's success has not had a positive bearing on local ALW crowds that overall remain very low.

The only Women's Football comp in Australia to get half decent crowds is still the AFLW.
What's pathetic about it? That crowd figure doesn't seem to be a gross misrepresentation of domestic soccer's popularity in Melbourne.

The word "pathetic" would be more aptly applied to the AFL's decision to schedule an AFLW GF in Melbourne at a 12.5k-capacity venue.

I am referring to the over the top hype about Womens soccer in Australia which is mostly apart from the Matilda's just wishful dreaming on behalf of soccer urgers.

I wouldn't have thought that's a bad crowd for Melbourne city. If it was the Victory that probably would be disappointing.

What would you consider a good crowd to be?

It is the 2nd highest crowd for a grand final for womens soccer.

The best was last year. I mean, your words doesnt much the stats.

I won't lie, It would have been good to match the average men's crowd for Melbourne City against Sydney FC (which is 8.3K)

But it did beat the last match they played against each other this year (5.1K).
