Great interview.

:thumbsu:Best thing was Foley is out of cotton wool and trained with the main group for the first time yesterday, and has put on weight but is as fast as ever:thumbsu: And Roberts is losing weight and is a super freak.

Spoke of his role, and it’s basically when he sees the ball jump on it and gets it to the next best option. And his job as a tagger isn’t as prominent as in the past. Its probably a simplified explanation, but it sounds like the whole game plan has been simplified. There is no playing on instinct, they all have specific team roles and have to stick to the plan.

On the forward structure, a type of mid field flood to hold the ball in. That was interesting. I wonder if that goes to explain the confusion of the lack of ruck work in the forward 50 Thursday night because everyone has a specific role to stick to but they forgot to move a ruck into the 50.

On nick names, Roberts, he has never heard the name Scoob at all, was surprised when Hartford bought it up, they call him Bullet, and Martin is called Heavy. He did say he was mildly concussed from the knock from Martin on Thursday night,

Martin couldn’t believe the difference in intensity from the NAB games and Round 1 and was blowing real hard.

He speaks extremely well and could easy slot into the radio media after footy. He’s a lot like Nic Jewel to listen to. Good half hour it was. Their probably is a pod cast on the web site. He said heaps more, but im trying to work and listen.

Went in search of the podcast on the SEN site and couldn't find it. Just to let you know that they are redoing their website and podcasts won't be up until next week and wont be downloadable until the week after.

Waiting for Cotch to come on, Healy and Dwayne pipe discussing who was better. Richo or Lloyd. Because of the send offs they are getting this and last week, Dwayne Pipe couldn’t understand all the love Richo had and Lloyd hardly any, so he asked who was the better footballer.

Russel, Lloyd easy, had the usual FF stats to back it up. Healy, Richo easy, gave his reasons, mainly he wasn’t a FF, and over their careers they had exactly the same amount of shots at goal, that shows Richo was better as he played all over the ground, and more contested marks etc. So they opened it to the callers. 8 out of 10 went Richo by a mile. An Essendon bloke said Lloyd had more Brownlow votes until Healy looked it up and Richo had around 43 :) more. Go Richo:thumbsu:,

A few minutes of nothing really. The best bit was at the end when Healy asked Russel if you were tipping right now on the Tiges and Melbourne, who would you go for. Russel said the Tiges by about 7 goals. Wow, one journo who has given us some positive this week.

Rating the two interviews today, Cotch 2/10 Jacko 10/10 He was superb, an absolute natural, and would be a monty to go into the media if he wanted.

Yeah people can say whatever they want about jackson and they are entitled to,but he is an unbelievably good speaker.
He was on the show a bit last year and is a bit of a semi regular.Just plays it on a break.

Could not agree more.
He is brilliant when it comes to being interviewed and the media in general.

As for some earlier comments from the peanut gallery..... If they bothered to take the blinkers off maybe they would notice that Jacko gets a lot more possessions that the 3-4 clangers that he has most weeks.
He does have BIG clangers so they do stand out but on the whole he is one of our better ball users 75-80% of the time

I heard the interview and Jackson was impressive. He is a very articulate young man.

Interesting to hear him talk about the jaw dropping things Relton Roberts is capable of and how he rates Martin and Collins as the hardest trainers and the guys obsessed with playing football for the Tigers.

The most interesting thing he said was when he answered what is the biggest difference around the club now that Wallace has gone? His answer " Mario's mum doesn't hang around anymore! " He said she gave Terry the nickname Plough years ago but he wasn't sure why.

Who would of thought Mario's mum would be well known in football circles
