I know Whately has alot of sway at Fox, if he really wants to continue the decade long relationship, could you see him getting Ken at the desk in a more permanent spot next year?

Read that as get him under the desk...

Then reread it and thought my interpretation was probably accurate.

2025 succession plan.
Lol..Even why!

So who didn’t see this turdstorm coming?
Kochie the absolute football ignoramus didn't see it coaming. The silly fool thought he was getting one more chance to prove us all wrong. His mate Kenny is a great coach and the farewell tour was their chance to rub all our faces in it.

This year will well and truly put to bed the coaching succession plan. An absolute disaster that will set the precedent that football administrators across the land will point to and say that is why you don't do it.

Funny how they said they announced this "succession plan" so that it does not become a distraction. Yet, now everyone is talking about it and will constantly ask questions and that will become a distraction.

The lack of foresight by everyone inside the club is simply astonishing.

Only if you’re losing… it was an each way bet!

In 2022 they should have made finals. They got back into the finals race then released their foot off the accelerator and lost 4 consecutive games late in the year.

This year is shaping up as disastrous and the only way to stop the bleeding will be to move Ken on.
I know this ain’t a popular thing to do but I listened to kane cornes this morning who said that “port sacked Hinkley but want him to coach this year”.

My interpretation of this statement was that port made the decision that Hinkley would finish this year and not him.

I had been under the impression that Hinkley made the call and port were too weak to say no you can finish right now.

What are your thoughts chewy.

The Club moved Ken on, and I suspect the only way to pacify Ken at that point was to state to the public that it was Ken who came to the Club saying it would be his last year as opposed to the other way round.

Why did we feel the need to 'pacify' Ken?

At a guess, if you're going to tell someone they're no longer wanted in 8 or so months time, but you still need them to give 100% effort for those 8 months, there's probably going to be a bit of give and take in an attempt to keep the relationship harmonious.

And hasn't that been successful.

Tredding on egg shells is not harmonious.

Just pay the motherf#%ker out and open all the doors and windows to blow his fried seafood stank out of there.

It’s not like we can’t afford it — his assistants and development coaches wouldn’t be on much more than a shared pallet of Cunningham’s Warehouse tatey chips with a best before of August 1999.

Blind Freddy could have seen how that was going to work out.

Hinkley has completely checked out and is just going through the motions to collect his salary until October. His couldn't give a sh!t attitude has rubbed off on the players.

Simmo has a decent tactics segment that gives a good insight into strategy. What would Ken's strategy segment be about?

You would think this but i'm told they are all well compensated and we arent really sailing below the cap that much. Makes it even worse. We always wanted to be a charity under this regime I guess.

Same as co-captains and the three flags in 5 years plan. Out of touch leadership of the club.

Ken can do an ad for greyhound annihilators with a tune like noels caravans.

You ask, ChatGPT delivers:

“Ran too slow? Missed the turn?
Ken says, ‘Out!’ — no time to learn!
No second chance, no loving hand —
Just a one-way trip from Hinkleyland!

Dropped the pace? Didn't please?
He’s got the clipboard and the keys!
Coach of dogs, not just the Power —
He’ll bench your pup this very hour!

At Ken’s Kennels, time is short,
No room for dogs who underperform!
So race, race, race for your life —
Or meet the vet’s unholy knife!”
