Maybe they meant the signage?

Probably the guernsey but who knows? Rozee has a look of confusion on his face.

Fitting that this is from Road to Nowhere

And you may ask yourself
"How do I work this?"
And you may ask yourself
"Where is that large automobile?"
And you may tell yourself
"This is not my beautiful house!"
And you may tell yourself
"This is not my beautiful wife!"

Five players had a semi-decent to good match:

JHF, was excellent. I want to see this every week!
Georgiades, was good. Kick straight, and he would have been great!
Aliir, looks to be getting back to his best
Lord, I liked what I saw in is first game back
Sinn, a bit up& down, but some really good signs.

The rest were just damned awful!

Ahem... that's Once in a Lifetime, Ford.

... but the sentiment fits.

Problem with that though is that Collingwood- being Collingwood- would still piss and moan about it being too close to theirs. As I've said before, make the top black section teal, and the horizontal bar silver, and Collingwood or the AFL have got no ground for complaint.
So your "no ground for complaint" version is to change parts of the top that already differ from Collingwood's, but leave untouched the parts that actually bare a resemblence to Collingwoods?

'Rudderless' - we look lost and have zero cohesion.

I'd love to know who's really coaching, probably feels like a new game plan coached by two people - and we play like it.

Semantics. Ground for complaint is removed by incorporating alternative colours, without completely wiping out the traditional design.

Sinn? He had a pretty poor game and he got out-bodied by a 3 gamer.

This is the sort of lazy work ethic we just ignore and move on. I would delist him in a heartbeat.
Not sure if he had a direct tagging role, but saw him all the way back in defence on many occasions. One of those over the top goals in the first half, he was the one chasing the Saints forward (was a fwd, so definitely not his man)

I don't associate DBJ with lazy - he'd be one of our hardest workers.

Noticed that every goal we scored was a set shot. No goals on the run. Lord had a chance to do one but kicks inside to an oppo player.

Too many dinky Kane Cornes chips cost us.

Also it goes without saying, the over-handballing in the midfield, terrible to watch.

It's always one extreme to the next. Last year, they kept bombing the ball and this year, they over handball. There is no balance.

Talking about effort - it made me have a look at the Telstra tracker to see if anything stood out. Only shows the top5 players in each category but some interesting things in our losses.

1 - Our defensive work rate is horrible. I don't know what metric they use, but you don't win games with poor work rate, and assuming they've got some reasonable logic behind it - it explains a lot.

2 - Even our win against the Tigers, we had 1 player in the top 5 for defensive work rate - Travis Boak (highest on ground)

3 - Some of the players that are potted regularly on this forum, such as SPP, DBJ, Wines and Boak, are the few that are always up there for total distance at high speed, average speed, work rate etc. - They are busting their gut to cover up for the deficiencies of others, and as a result, it's likely their skills are suffering, as well as looking slow/lazy as they are absolutely gassed at some contests.

4 - Our players are one way runners, happy to work hard moving forward, but never the other way. We have not outworked the opposition in defence this season (equal Tigers). We have beaten every one of our opponents in offensive work rate except for the tigers.

5 - Our total distance numbers, average running speeds etc etc. are all absolutely putrid - we are unfit/lazy or both

Would be ok if we could kick set shots. We have always been horrible at them.

Butters in particularly did a number of those dinky Kane Cornes kicks and missed his target every time.

I don't mind the over handballing, this is clearly a new plan, and the players will take time to adapt to it. It's definitely overhandballing for now, but they will find the balance.
