AA and you don’t want to give him a one year extension? Bit harsh!!

People weren't happy we gave a 2 year deal to Naitanui end of 2022 and his AA year.

Only played 8 more games for us from there :(

Had significant interest from 6-7 other teams, so there was pressure on to secure + our KPD stocks are very unknown other than Gov. Got him on well under what other clubs have offered.
No issue at all with the signing. I doubt he's too money hungry, he's a culture carrier and I'd argue he's shown himself to be more durable than many give him credit for.

Wouldnt be surprised if there was a way trade between West Coast, Swans and Dogs involving Warner and JUH.

Very interesting call [emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]
Could we scrape busslinger out too?? Unlikely

Well if we pay the higher end of Warners price range, say our 2025 1st+ 2026 f1 for Warnerx2+swans 1st.
Buss as a 3 year KPD, former pick 12, hes probably worth our 2nd rounder? Maybe the Swans 1st? im going to call it the 2nd rounder, the difference wont matter too much at this stage.

Would put it in the ballpark of costing us roughly our next 2 first rounders for 3 players, but we keep the hawks and Swans 1st rounders for probably an fast outside mid and then whatever we want(Ruckman?) with the other pick.
Still have our NGA+f/s kids.

I think thats a pretty good result, what we pay for Warner probably would go straight to the Dogs for JUH

Id make that trade, pending Busslingers performance in 2025.

Dogs end up getting our 2025+2026 1st picks plus either swans 1st or our 2nd. Big haul.

Lachy Dovaston will enter the season as one of the more highly rated small forward prospects in this draft class. Quick, hardworking, and with plenty of tricks at his disposal, he's able to create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates through incisive moments with the ball or disruptive defensive pressure.

I doubt Gov would have moved whether the contract was done now or later.

Any chance we've done this now to effectively give Gov two years' worth of money but bringing more forward this year to create room for Warner, Starcevich, etc. next year?

Pretty sure someone said Busslinger is terrified of flying, which is why he's reluctant to return to WA.

Considering the Bulldogs are the least traveled team, makes sense for him to stay in that case.

Don't know about the flying part (doubt it though) but I do know he loves living in Melbourne and before he signed his latest contract he was looking at other Melbourne clubs (not sure who) rather than coming home

I didn't see that, sounds promising.

Masten got #3 originally and them we stripped it off him after he failed to live up to expectations and gave it to Gaff. Precedent has been set.
Masten started in #13 for the first two years then moved to #7. He was never #3.

Heard he loves it so much he’s thinking of changing his name to Tramlinger
