Imagine some sort of parole officer in attendance tapping his watch like it’s Fergie time at the ‘G calling for him to be subbed out and head home to bed before 10PM.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the AFL first contacted the judge to have an allowance for game day, and then failing that allowing Richmond to have 2 subs which they then abuse and use in other players not Balta and get away with it.

How do you get spared jail for that type of assault? Came from nowhere to punch the guy, then kept going when he was on the ground.

Either or both of the Geelong and Essendon games would otherwise have been night games. Be interesting to see if they are when they do end up being scheduled

On a side note the 16yo kid that threw a clapper at allir allir has been banned for 2 years apparently.

A pretty harsh punishment, legit think the guy has some sort of disability.

He should have jumped the fence and gone balta on allir and he'd be back in the stands after 6 weeks.

Funny how a week after I point out on an afl post Gold Coast are an astonishing +10 per game through 4 rounds they finally go -2 in a game to bring their average back to +7 still miles above the long term average.

Hawks average increased by their 14-0 run against port where the umpires did everything to get them back in the game.

The AFL is an absolute rort this is just gross numbers, now consider the times where judgement is used to give or not give frees for holding the ball, throws, encroaching on the protected area.

The afl has just made everything open to interpretation so they have as many levers as possible to pull to dictate the outcome of matches/seasons.
