James 1:6-8:A bit of a test for Lord. A few have put a line through him.
Maybe it will, but when he's totally unprepared, he is likely to be significantly off the pace, fumbly, unfit, etc. Just as Soldo was. He goes in, embarrasses himself and gets dropped next week, and it achieved nothing. He's already a barely SANFL player as it is, so to force him up a level when unprepared is a risk.
I hope it pays off, I hope he gets his confidence up with some nice lace out passes and he holds his spot. Im just not convinced that picking under done players at this stage is in anyway a recipe for success.
I was hoping that Mead would make way for Cochrane - as they are both Mid / HFF and Cochrane offers more with the goal kickingHow is Mead named in the 18 on field?
Was our worst player by a country mile last week outside of Soldo.
Yes, very dumb ... and in those 5 minutes he had 2 kicks including a shot for goal - which just missedReal rough on Cochrane. Dude was in great SANFL form, gets called up and made sub to play 5 minutes of football then dropped. Dumb as usual.
i am hoping that he gets a run of 3 - 4 games just to see what he can doRough on Cochrane but he'll get another crack at it
15k you reckon? That's quite funny that you think there's 15k people in Adelaide who caresack Hinkley and you can add 15k to the crowd immediately.
Because they've somehow managed to do it in a way where I don't want to go watch us now because he's still coach but I also don't get the satisfaction and excitement of a sacking. Just yet another crap half measure which helps nobody.Hinkley is already sacked. We got 38k last home game. We are not getting a 53k non-showdown crowd next year with him officially not there.
This. Never been this disinterested and I've always been hardcore.Because they've somehow managed to do it in a way where I don't want to go watch us now because he's still coach but I also don't get the satisfaction and excitement of a sacking. Just yet another crap half measure which helps nobody.

watch Cochrane kick another 3 goals against Sturt
yipeee .. go Tom ..At half time
The morons at the top are pathetic at identifying and developing talent.I was hoping that Mead would make way for Cochrane - as they are both Mid / HFF and Cochrane offers more with the goal kicking
watch Cochrane kick another 3 goals against Sturt
Let's hope so, but there still need to be certain expectations and standards:The difference this time is Marshall and Luko are both out for a long time. Lord is going to get the extended run no matter what.
So he should be held to a standard we never held Marshall to?Let's hope so, but there still need to be certain expectations and standards:
1. Play in front. Last year he got into this Chad Cornes-coached habit of playing from behind all the time.
2. Try to mark the ball and hold your marks when you get hands free to the ball. Bloody Cam Sutcliffe described Lord's contribution to our side on radio last night as "bringing the ball to ground". Carn. Take the bloody mark if you can.
3. Concentrate over four quarters. He needs to show that he can stay engaged for more than a 10-minute period.
Yep. Because the low standards we kept for Marshall and Dixon didn’t do us any good as a club.So he should be held to a standard we never held Marshall to?
Fair call. I agree with you. But if we are gonna be serious about ever developing any tall talent we need to actually coach them and give them time. Lord is another one of those blokes that seems to have gone backwards. So many of our talks play the exact same way, it has to put our coaching and development into question. There's a constant trend of players making a splash when they first get drafted / come across and then they're rarely as good again.Yep. Because the low standards we kept for Marshall and Dixon didn’t do us any good as a club.
It’s absolutely coaching and lack of proper development and as you say, investing too much time in the wrong players and not enough into players who should have much higher ceilings.Fair call. I agree with you. But if we are gonna be serious about ever developing any tall talent we need to actually coach them and give them time. Bringing the ball to ground. Ahh, a Kenny appointment. So he should be held to a standard we never held Marshall to?
