Are the Sandy players who havent signed elsewhere that have nominated for AFL draft as at 7th Nov.

Blamires, Hipwell, Lowe, Hall-Kahan, O'Leary all appear to have signed on elsewhere which suggests they are probably not the rookie signing.

usually for sandy you don't see the re-signing or new players till after the rookie draft.

Come someone who has aceess to stats post the number of players taken from affiliated clubs to stand alone VFL, WAFL & SANFL clubs.

The last affiliated clubs are - Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Melbourne and us. Box Hill Hawks were a well established club before the union with Hawthorn.

I think Hawthorn and Melbourne effectively run their VFL teams. Pretty sure North Melbourne have their own team. The only "we just send our excess players to another club" arrangement is ours, and pretty much everyone agrees we are poorer for it.

And the last player to be recruited from the Zebras is Hayden McLean 5 years ago, whilst the Hawks etc have had numerous.
