I had an idea for a role this afternoon while I was scoffing down some lunch.

Mortician - Chooses a target each night and if they are killed overnight (by anyone apart from the Mafia), they cremate the body and the player's role is only revealed to the Mafia.

Yeah, it was in the Dead PM of the game just finished. Someone did it in a recent game and I thought it worked pretty well. It means people can actually play, but can make Day 1 even more of a crapshoot because there's less information to work with.

i see the idea behind it

i had a look a while ago at N1 deaths

which again wasn't N1 targets, so didn't account for luck with things like protects, rolling night immune etc

and it was actually pretty spread out

a few people copped 2-3 early deaths and 2 in a row was around the average of bad luck on that

the issue with no N1 deaths is how it impacts evil and neutrals chances, and its a night where information is less

pros and cons
