I agree with you. The only thing I can come up with is that they see in him the traits they want on an hbf and want to release Chappy, Young or Clark up the ground.
I hope you are right but it seems a long way around, and we've just brought in another specialist winger.

My prediction is Chapman, Young and Clark all stay predominantly in defence.

Hopefully he's resolved his ball-burner tendencies to get a go. Not sure, especially given Serong's form this year in that regard, we could introduce any more significant levels of it into the side.

If Acres can get a game at Freo, Worner is at least a ball magnet.
Plus he has distance in his kicks.
Deserves a chance to at least show something. Playing NOD ATM is playing a man
a short.

Worner has definitely improved his disposal; part of me wonders whether that is due to him playing off half back where there is not the stress of running up and down the ground all day.

I just cant understand why they turned him into a defender when we already have a lot of half back depth and zero wing depth.
He has played wing past couple of games. He should replace Noddy this game against Essendon as Henry played alright.

It'd be great if he is a viable option in the wing. More depth in that area can never be a bad thing.
He was getting a lot of cheap/easy possessions on the wing and i think he was moved to HBF to teach him some accountability Whilst his possession stats have dropped he has improved overall but now switch him back to the wing as we have a need there

Considering how much we have struggled on the wings in our two recent loses in my opinion we desperately need to give Worner a go at playing wing. He is bar far the best realistic option of at least being able to stay with his player on long runs. Plus we could give Clark some time on a wing and rotate Worner to defence for periods too. I just can't see Longmuir making any positional changes unfortunately though.

His kicking at WAFL level has improved a lot from what Ive seen. J'Lo mentions his clearly improved ball use in the clip above from the King Tenz post. According to one of the interviews he did recently when his contract extension was announced he's done a heap of leg strength work since coming to the club. That 's probably the reason why he looks a bit quicker and his disposal is more consistent. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure he's quicker than most think at least in terms of speed/endurance. He'd be one of the better 100 metre runners at the club which is why he was the club representative at the GF Grand Final sprint competition.

It'll be interesting to see him in action at the level. Be good to have him as a viable option so Aish can be more deployable as needed.

It’s that improvement in his disposal that has help bring about his selection and tomorrow he runs out in the AFL for the very first time.

All the best for tomorrow Karl.

Was alright in limited game time, hopefully gets a full game next week. He deserves it.

I still don't care what anyone says, I absolutely hate seeing guys debut as the sub. As if we don't have a number of guys that could be sub in any given week.

Should be a rule against it.

At least he actually showed some effort when he came on unlike a lot of others out there.
"Debutant shows effort", so rare for that to happen. His decision making was pretty bad, but that isn't too concerning for a first run at it. His delivery was a bit more of a concern though.
