Just needs a personality.

We're currently going through the robot-wars of the Golf Tour

Wouldn’t go that far. We just had as good a Masters Saturday as we will see followed by an absolute exhibition today. Aberg will give us plenty going forward.

Two legs of the Scottie Slam done. Three to go.

Nah. The guy is a robot. Makes a birdie and can't even crack a smile.

Golf needs heroes and villains, not robots. The occasion is what makes this event compelling TV viewing. Outside of the Masters, golf on TV is very, very boring.

Reckon what made it compelling viewing this week is the wind and fast greens. Seeing the pros scared of making shots is awesome.

The current viewer ratings would back your argument that regular PGA tournaments are on the stink - but I reckon that is more about the PGA/LIV schism than the sudden absence of "heroes and villains". Most of the time, golfers are nerds.

Tee to green, Scheffler is unstoppable. In the midst of a historic run currently. Laser straight drives and pin high approaches constantly. It's just relentless. That draws me into watching him. I understand he's not everyones cup of tea. Really entertaining golfers that appeal to the masses beyond golf like Tiger, Phil, Daly, Payne etc are very, very rare .

Aberg is certainly the next big thing. Has the complete game. Long, exceptional irons and can putt. Likeable guy with an unflappable demeanour. Even after his double bogey on 11, he walked off the green smiling with his caddie.

WINNER: Scottie Scheffler
RUNNER-UP: Corey Conners
BEST AUSSIE: Cam Smith
BEST LIV GOLFER: Jon Rahm
BEST ROOKIE (under 3 starts): Ludvig Aberg
BEST AMATUER: Stewart Hagestad
TIGERS FINISH: Cut.
ROUGHIE: Corey Conners
Happy with that. Winner, rookie and Aussie
