Personally I like the idea of the GF being rotated across all the clubs in the league. All clubs know years in advance of when they are going to host, giving them ample time to get playing surfaces Both Football & Netball as well as other facilities up to standard. If they are unable to host, then the next club in line takes their place. You only have to look at this year with Mathoura handing over to Deni Rovers. As far as a show piece for the league, Memorial Park looked pretty good on the day. :thumbsu: And even better on the DVD ;). Toc will just have to get into line like everybody else.

Bit of discussion on other threads re club spending on players, difference between top and bottom sides etc.
IMO a points system just sounds too darn complicated. No way a cap would work. So just for discussion what if leagues could impose that the team winning the flag make a "donation" to their league equivalent to say $1000 per player in that team that was not a junior at that club or hadn't been at the club for say 3/4 years. Also exempt playing coaches as it's often necessary to recruit coaches from outside. Figures I have mentioned purely for example.
Amount to be paid to the league prior to following year finals series if not paid lose points.
Money given to league to be used for a social cause determined by league/clubs.
Not pointing fingers at any of us just a discussion really.

Why just the winning side ?? Why not every team that makes the finals ??
Don't think it would work, if it was in place this year Jerilderie would have to write a cheque for $4000. Which probably isn't to bad.
I don't think you can impose rules to stop clubs from spending to much. In any walk of life, if your expenses are greater than your income your going to be in trouble. If clubs continue to spend to much year in year out we wont have to worry about them as they wont be around for long.
No matter what rules you put in place you cant stop stupidity.........

To improve equity I believe the league should consider the employment of a full operation manager who can assist all clubs to improve their skill set and in turn improving all sides raising capabilities to a higher level .

They are aren't they? So will that role do this sort of work as well? If so and it's already budgeted for then that'll do.

Roar, that second lot of holidays is that in June or July???? I would hate for you to have to return early because of a wrong booking.....

Ben Makepeace and Marty McKenzie from Mathoura have signed with Elmore

both very good but good luck getting them to train... i heard elmore,s new coach is poaching alot of players from his old club where he ran the bench for the year and offering alot of $$$... i hope he doesn't financially destroy the club on players not up to scratch..

Very quite on here guys & gals, must be some news on player movements. Most clubs would have most of their recruiting finalised by now. Who are the confirmed losses & gains from around the traps. Does anybody have dates for preseason practise matches yet?Is there a date for the PDFL North West clubs V South East pre season games?

^^^ not sure if everyone is finished recruiting Mairjimmy, you may be able to help though...

Jerilderie's in and outs??? Heard any confirmations? Can clubs dare to dream they can stop a 3 peat??

Iam guessing most people would have already known about those boys. As yet no confirmed replacements.
