Geeeeeezzz it’s a painful waiting for results to be viewable

And what’s the go with PPA - not loading now?

Thought gameday was meant to be the better system?
Other leagues on play hq manage to get results updated from u14s ,17s ressies as they are played and in some cases actually live updates. Well done to those leagues showing the way.

Clubs can opt to live score every match in gameday and have been able to for maybe 10 years ?
Having the option and choosing not to , suggests that clubs don’t wish to .
Isn’t it great that clubs have the choice .

There's still plenty of glitches in the system around a few leagues I follow. It's definitely getting better and will be a good system once that happens.

Is this something clubs are shown how to do and encouraged to at all by the league?

It just seems odd that NO scores seem to be viewable until around 6pm Saturday night this season whereas in previous seasons they were mostly there to see after the completion of each grade, just a change I had noticed…..

live scoring has occurred from time to time by clubs and the league during finals .
Haven’t experienced your issue regarding scores not being displayed till 6pm .

Correct, I know as the kids have been looking each Saturday for the scores of each grade.
Scores have been available from 11am each match day and have been updating during the day .
If going via the leagues website, aside from Round 1 , have only needed to filter the grade .

Maybe you could chuck a link on here mate and people could try that next Saturday as obviously the way we/they are looking up the scores isn’t working for the general public?

Normally a proactive organisation would do forward planning (are you reading this, AFL Victoria?).

It could have been something as simple as a meeting to track the course of a strategic plan or else it could have been to raise some points for contemplation for next year's competition. Then again, it could relate to something more radical.

I would not get overly excited just yet unless you know something and are withholding information from us.

Given previous history, I'd wager something more radical :eyes:

The PDL have proven to be quite visionary in the football netball space for some time. Sure there has been plenty of mud thrown, but there has been a real focus on building a competition that caters for the community.

In my time in footy the league has accepted Strathmerton, Katamatite, Tungamah, Katandra, Berrigan, Dookie United, Shepparton East, Rennie, Tocumwal from either stepping down from the Murray League or by clubs not suiting what their existing league had become. Adding Under 11s football and breaking into two divisions are other examples of this proactive nature.

The affiliation 'challenges' over the last 5 years have created unrest in the local area, but it was from sticking to a vision. I found the PDL's Player Point changes have been the most in touch with their member clubs than any other league.

They seem keen to put their clubs first, which appears unique in the current climate.

I think that the league is on the right path and at this point in time are more likely to attract clubs than lose them.

Kudos to the league for adopting the tiered player points system which shows that the league is being proactive about providing a more level playing field. It has been very successful in providing a competitive balance in the one league in Western Australia that uses it (and has done so for well for over a decade now) and hopefully it works out the same way in the PDFNL.

If only something could be done about changing the way a player's points rating is determined so that it was simpler and more workable. The have been many instances on many BF forums where posters argue in depth about how many points a particular player should be worth proves something is wrong with the system ... but AFLV won't admit it.

Technology/ IT system should calculate points automatically without human intervention or discretion needed .

Hearing Picola league looking at 2 divisions for 2025... with KDFL clubs their likely tatgets

If the pdfl pull this off, other areas will be taking note and will pull away from the afl, if they can get 30 clubs into a 2 division league it could be the way forward with a junior system in place
