Posted this in the Final Day thread but thought i'd post it here.

Vincent Kompany is a boss. Watched his two interviews they showed last night, can tell why he is the captain of your side as he came across as a really intelligent and passionate man.

You could tell when he said he never gave up that he meant it and wasn't just some throwaway football cliche that you hear every footballer say but not truly believe. You know that kind of attitude rubbed off on the rest of his team-mates and you can see why they never gave up.

Also loved his bit when he spoke about the money and stuff, and how people think oh yeah another player going to City, must be in it for the cash. He said it's not the money that you dream about when you are kids with nothing but hopes and dreams to play football, it's days and moments like the one he'd just experienced.

Exactly right.

And no matter how much money is injected into the game it's never going to be able to eclipse the emotions that the players, supporters and everyone involved with football feel when things like this happen.

Well done City.

Well said and well observed. An absolute leader through and through.

At 6 million.

Defenders might be undervalued but Vinnie is the bargain of the decade.

Well, maybe behind Sergio. :)

I wann see a sequel to Blue Moon Rising that shows the reaction of those lads. Would be quality stuff. :D

I also decided today that **** it, I'm splashing out on the championship merch.

These things aren't easy to win so take nothing for granted.

I've got a champions shirt on it's way already!

**** it Sprout buy it all mate. I'm going to lash out when more goes up on the site. There was a black shirt I liked but it didn't have the 3-2 score from Sunday on it so I'll wait for the updated version of that one.

I loved Tevez's sign, don't dish it out if you don't want it served back you miserable old ****.

C'mon moomba we want a full report.

Can you believe we are champions? I was thinking along the "not in my lifetime" thoughts of bacon face.

To be honest, it's all still a bit of a blur. Very unfair that the world is expected to just carry on when I think it would be much more appropriate for everyone just to stop for a week or so and take in what just happened.

I posted yesterday that the whole day was great, the atmosphere around the town was superb. Must admit at half time my worst fears were that we'd "only" be 1-0 toward the end of the game and have a few nervy minutes. When they equalised, and then went ahead I just couldn't believe it.

But I sort of accepted our fate and when Dzeko scored I was half excited and half pissed off because I thought it would be yet another one of these heroic losses the club seems to be specialising in over the past year or two.

Agueros goal, just not sure what happened there. Watched it on youtube a few hundred times and it still seems quite unbelievabe. Celebrations when he scored were immense, like back in the olden days of terracing. I ended up three rows behind my seat and at one stage was just lying on top of a seat staring into the sky.

Went back to City square a bit after the celebrations, they had Andy Morrison interviewed and he was on top form. Natalie Pike agreed to go out on a date with anyone in the crowd, and I think there were plenty of people ready to accept that offer.

Went back to town along the canal, plenty of laughing singing and general frivolity. We headed toward Albert Square, and bought a few cans for the walk. Lots of pockets of random blues at Piccadilly Gardens, and around various pubs.

Got warned that the GMP were taking beers off people drinking in the street so we just sat down across the road from Albert Square and listened to all the singing from the slug and lettuce on the other side of Albert Square. When we finished our beers the GMP had closed down the slug and lettuce and albert square was barrieredd off so we went to the northern quarter and spent a bit of time there. Chatted with a few United fans, who were all very gracious about the result.

We were in a bit of a grab a granny pub, and they had karaoke on so we moved on. My mate missed his last train back south so we ended up going over to my place to carry on the celebrations (which I'm sure mrs moomba appreciated). Tram ride heading back to mine was packed with blues and plenty of singing/dancing etc.

Didn't go to the parade yesterday as was working and still pretty much spending all my spare time on t'internet trying to find pics and vids of the game and day (sorry kids, I'll give you some attention in a few days).

The whole instagram thing didn't work out, I got a few pics of a QPR flag at Piccadilly Station, but couldn't upload anything more than that. Did have a look last night, and did take plenty of photo's and videos until my phone died as we were leaving the stadium.

Awesome write up thanks mate.

I'm like you in that all seems a bit surreal. I keep checking the BBC website and the club website to make sure it actually happened. I just cannot believe we won, and won in that fashion after I'd thought we bottled it.

I keep watching youtube vision of supporters celebrating and thinking I have never seen City fans so happy and again it almost seems surreal seeing "Champions" written all over Manchester City paraphernalia.

We did it, and we are indeed, CHAMPIONS.

CTID.

I've just watched the replay again and "staggering" just doesn't seem a strong enough word for what happened out there.

Legends all of them. We'll take some stopping next season ;)

no one could believe it. i probably spent 10-15 minutes with my mouth open when aguero scored. just in shock. didnt move a muscle, just sat there, practically paralysed.

it took until kompany lifting the trophy to work out what had actually happened and for me to start jumping up and down.

I also watched the replay for the second time, and I'm still finding it hard to comprehend. Especially at 90 mins where the commentator (forgive me but I can't remember his name) says "Where will the Manchester City supporters tonight? How will they find the strength within them to get up in the morning?" or something along those lines. And then we go and score twice in four minutes. :thumbsu:

I'm still hoping to get a Sky Sports copy of the game because I really want to hear Martin Tyler's call. I found a version on Youtube although it cuts off the top and bottom of the picture so I don't really want to waste 3GB or so of download on that (it was in full HD i believe)

Is there a chance we could get a DVD with multiple commentary options like the AFL? Maybe a "victory pack" or something?

I'm glad you were there to enjoy it, Moomba! Wish I was there!

I watched at home by myself, with my girlfriend asleep in bed in the next room. I had to be quiet, but our loungeroom has never seen such excitement!

When Aguero scored my girlfriend stumbled into the room half asleep with a concerned look on her face. She thought I'd injured myself somehow.

It all happened so fast...

I woke the kid and the bride up and I was desperately trying to be quiet.... I kept waiting for the ref to disallow the goal for whatever he could think of but that was my old school City brain thinking overtime.

Some great stuff on the club website ( www.mcfc.co.uk ) at the moment including:

a) A 17 minute clip that includes all 93 goals scored in the league that slows down and focuses on the last 3 ;)

b) Kun's last goal from every angle of every camera at the ground and pretty much a montage of the whole crowd from every angle celebrating that very goal. Spine tingling stuff.

and c) Some awesome souvenirs including the Kun Aguero bobble head with added feature for the ladies NO SHIRT....

Usually give the CityTV stuff a watch but I might make a beeline for those videos. Thanks for alerting me FH. Have you ordered your merchandise? I'm holding out a bit longer only because I want to get a keyring and a mug and they aren't available til the 30th

Mate I haven't ordered yet but only because i think the website is playing up a bit. The prices keep changing and the only option for freight to Australia is express and that costs more than everything I want to buy.

When it's sorted I'm getting the DVD, shirts, scarves, bobble heads, maybe just one of everything....
