If Hird beats Yze to the job I do hope a black hole swallows that club. We have Hird who was quietly ushered into a role in one of the greatest shows of nepotism at GWS (aka the Orange team) who’s been out of the game for the best part of 10 years vs. a senior assistant coach, coming off a premiership year and has done all the ground work needed to coach in the last 10 years. Yze has the same background as all coaches in this year’s finals who were all first time coaches. It’s not really that hard of a decision right?

*forgot to mention the construction of the named John Elliott stand that cost the club some 20 odd million that was finished only a few years before the blues left for docklands stadium and princess park was never used again for afl games and blues left to continue to pay it off. The blues carried large debts and were bank rolled by the Pratt family and donated poke facilities by the matherson family

A mate of mine worked on that board game that he did years ago. Remember that one that has the VHS tape with it? Or maybe it was a DVD? Might have been a trivia game or something.

Anyway, he met with Sheedy early on in the process for lunch, and to his surprise they ended up scoffing down two bottles of red, at what was supposed to be a business lunch.

And to his even bigger surprise, Sheedy then got up abruptly and announced that he had to go as training was starting soon.
