5th is a good finish overall for Ange & the Spurs, think many would’ve had them finishing a lot lower, especially as they lost Kane.

Be interesting to see how they go next season.

He won't trust fringe players in the CL and we'd end up trusting and overplaying the same 16 players in the CL and PL. At least with EL he has no excuse not rotate.

You were only in the Champions League a few years ago. The money spent etc, it's not an excuse. He has underachieved this year especially when you consider they're barely above a lambasted United and not catching Villa. Hell the way it's going Chelsea could overtake Spurs.

We made it on the final day that season when we clearly weren't ready or worthy. We sacked Nuno that season, that's how bad we were. And we saw the consequences of that last season. We were a waste of space in the CL

There's little point being in there if you can't seriously compete for it imo

We aren't borderline with FFP where it's critical to how we operate in the upcoming window

As for expectations for this season. To be on the same points tally as last season when losing Kane on the opening day is progress. Considering we've been a one man team built around Kane. And playing a completely different way under the last 3 managers

And you might end up on the same amount of trophies this season as Kane. A win of some sorts.

That's a bad argument and you know it. If you know anything about Anges teams they always improve second season because he does improve the deficiencies.

So what I wrote wasn't valid criticism... Right. Sometimes people are just so ignorant on things it isn't worth the time. You're supporting teams based on Ange so says it all.

And of all the players in our squad who I think Ange will see as part of the long term project if this works, it's Vicario, Romero, VDV, Udogie, Porro, Sarr and maybe Maddison. The rest I'm either 50/50 or less on them being part of the long term Ange project. Son not part of that list due to age. The rest I see as either stop gaps for a short period, or not good enough.

So a sale of Vicario to solve the issue isn't on Anges radar

To be fair, Ange is not gonna change his philosophy, and if that's not good enough for the EPL then he'll accept that rather than change.

I do wonder how long the fans and owners will accept that over success (if it doesn't come).
