I think it's been a net benefit to the game, but it's still very weird that umpires are yelling "STAND" and "Play On" 200 times a game. And then the 50-metre penalty is an overly harsh punishment for infringing on it.

Collingwood are premiers largely because they played as hard as anyone and outworked other teams - also favourable umpiring in their last two finals.

Their actual list, while good, is not the best in the comp. It’d be an amazing effort if they’re able to keep up that intensity after winning a flag.

This is partly true, we definitely played harder than everyone else and don't have the best list on paper. But the umpire stuff is just salty loser talk.
