I did watch the last quarter and he was starting in the middle … but I believe he was playing back prior to that. Thought he did some reasonably things but needs to get much fitter next year.

2 clearances from Coff sounds promising.

Saw him in defence in the few its of the first half i watched, so maybe just played the 2nd half there.

And get Coff back in. Who knows why he was dropped in the first place. Was good last week and even showed some…gasp…leadership!

Its a pretty one paced midfield with Crouch, Dunstan, Steele, Bytel in there.
Seems like Crouch could do with a rest anyway. Would be close to his longest stint of consecutive football for a few years.
May need a rest to freshen up. No point running him into the ground.
Bring in Bytel and the balance stays manageable.

Hanners def shouldn’t be playing in the seniors this year now . He’s part of the reason we’re not playing finals so now it’s confirmed he can wait until next year while we learn more about the kids .

My guess is he's in cotton wool to almost ensure a senior match next weekend. If he played today and picked up a niggle, Trent Dennis-Lane would be getting a game for us next week.
