Just something that's popped into my head, is it me, or does anyone else think Ken's attitude towards this season so far has been "Oh well I'm gone at the end of the season anyway so it doesn't matter what I do they won't get rid of me at this point", especially since he probably knows that the board has his back, especially the President who thinks he is our best AFL coach.

At least Hartlett has an excuse, he literally hasn't had the cattle and the job of the SANFL coach is probably just do as they are told from above. I don't think things would be any differently at SANFL level if we had another coach.

Ken is yesterday's news and the year is a write-off. We knew that going in to Round 1 under the 4D chess succession plan. The reason to get rid of Ken now has nothing to do with Ken, it's because there are question marks over Josh Carr too, and the sooner the clock starts ticking on Carr as Senior Coach, the sooner we'll be in a position to make a call on him in that role one way or the other. Is it a bit unfair to throw Carr into the role mid-season and count the results for/against him? Yeah, probably. But we sure as shit don't want to spend another decade mired in mediocrity stability. Start the car and start the clock.

Exactly this. I understand Carr has a 3 year contract. That's enough time to prove himself. The sooner he starts as the full-time head coach, the better for everyone. We learn nothing new by keeping Hinkley around for any period of time.

It's ludicrous that these clowns are employed at a professional sporting organisation on the back of zero qualifications. I asked Richo at the AGM that very question and he couldn't respond. He said Lobbe is and I quote "very smart" and totally ignored the question re Sutcliffe and Hartlett.
