No worries. Banter or no, it’s not my cup of tea. Different strokes I guess. As you were

Can respect it, I’m definitely tongue in cheek most of the time but didn’t mean to offend - apologies.

It’s funny whenever it’s a hint of disrespect to women even in jest I always find it a bit off. Like when dudes on here use the analogy of ‘going in dry’ etc. That kind of thing I think is no good to rattle off

Out: Long, Kelly, Edwards, Allen
In: Gross, Hall, Brock, Shanahan

Could use the excitement of watching a few new players on the park, don't got much else at the moment!
Edwards and Allen both won't go out, leaves us one short down back/up front.

Not what I think is likely, just some players I'd like to see get a run. Brock to replace Edwards, Shanahan to replace Allen. Gross to replace Long. Hall to replace Kelly...I expect the actual changes to be far more conservative.

I wouldnt mind seeing harley given the role to run past guys with the ball as the handball receive player, seagull it up a bit like daicos and the ashcrofts do. get him the pill
I noticed in the re-watch of derby, he was sometimes doing that or in a position to receive a handball and take off, but the team mate with the ball looked the other way and dished it off, usually for a turnover - leaving him a bit frustrated. (me too)

Kelly won't be dropped.

You are a much braver soul than I.

I say we just give it to him tbh, either something great happens or he turns it over like kelly.

All you guys laughing at the seagull comment go watch tom gross under 18s vic metro vs WA highlights and watch for levi ashcroft it amazingly funny Bacchus Dark Sharks hes never in a better position just 15m to his left

All good, cheers. Yeah I agree with those sentiments. Online forums can be the Wild West these days. Glad this forum is mild in comparison haha

That Jwill turnover at half back was so frustrating! Big fellas trying to do to much I guess

We have the most accurate goal kicker in the comp so we should probably play him at FF.

No point bringing 50/50 players back this week to have 2 weeks on the road back to back.

Actually it is probably a really good time to bring in a few new/fringe players with 2 weeks together on the road to have a bit of fun, enjoy themselves and hopefully get a bit tighter.
The future is with the youth so only 21 and unders can come in for the next 2 games.

The problem with this is 2 fold..

1) he will end up getting handballs at his toes, over his head, a metre behind him etc. regularly.
2) his fitness. Daicos gets to so many positions for hb receive due to elite fitness. This is Harleys biggest issue at the moment.

He still impacts well when he gets the ball, he just needs to work through it to build a tank to get to more contests.
Will be a slower than expected build but I expect by rd 10 we will start to see Harley getting back to his normal self and in the last half of the year build on what he has learnt as he works through the frustrations and tags. Needs to be be a big year of maturing and learning for him. If he keeps his head and does the work he will come out the otherside a much better player.

Ill back him to do more with errant hand balls than Kelly

Surprised Hoarseley reckons Sandy Brock was best on ground in the WAFL game . With the Gov out I guess he is endorsing Sandy . I saw the match and yes he was good but Gross was BOG . If Harley wasnt Harley he would be playing WAFL this week and Gross would be debuting . I dont know if an unfit Harley and a debutant with a limited first preseason can play in same side unless there is no other choice due to injuries .

Was brocks counter attacking as good as advertised?

Hate Gov out but it was about time to give Brock a game anyway, had Gov not been injured I still would have considered rotating him or HE for a rest to give Brock a look-in.

It's going to be a big test for our defensive unit (the only real positive of our season so far).

Would think
Hough on Greene
Ginbey on Stringer
Baker/Duggan on Jones
Cole on Daniels
HEdwards on Hogan
Brock on Cadman

Maric to take any of those on rotation bar I think the opposite ends of the spectrum in Jones and Hogan, too much run/too strong respectively. Probably rotate onto Cadman if they're resting a ruck down there and let Brock deal with that.

Usually I'd look at our back 6 and find a matchup we'll clearly win and think we'd at least get great rebound there, or intercept over them or something. But it'll be so tight with this lot, they're all dangerous and quite balanced. Maybe Ginbey to burn Stringer on fitness is all I can think of.

If our mids get flogged it's so dire, let's bring both Hall and Gross in stuff it. We need contested possessions at the coalface (Hall) and someone who's actually energetic at stoppages (Gross) to hopefully brighten up some of the other dead eyed players we have in there at the moment. Bring Long and Hunt out and have a more inside-mid heavy lineup, think we've been short on that anyway.

Not sure about sub, Hewett likely again but don't love two sub weeks in a row. Maybe Cripps.

Why on earth do people want to put Harley into defence where we are endeavouring to hide a number of our most unskilled mature players as well as find a spot to debut Allan. In a forward pocket he's probably as dangerous [and fit] as a 2018 era Jordan De Goey but nah lets play him on ball, complain about how he doesn't have elite fitness and wonder what on earth we can do about it. FFS people want him dropped but he took mark of the round on Sunday and if he was stationed 15m closer to goal he'd of kicked 3-4 in each of his last 3 games.

Hadn't really accepted Harry Edwards would be playing after getting carried away with his being subbed out and Oscar going back. Realistically the club isn't going to be sending Allen back, but **** me Edwards on Hogan is going to be an issue. I like Edwards but there are certain full forwards that he is never going to match up well on. Jesse Hogan to kick 10.
