the hawks didnt take any generational talent in those drafts.. jury out on whether we got any last year

Look, as a junior player he is not bad at all. He has sure ball handling first and foremost and hits his targets on a high percentage of cases. Just with those things he is already ahead of some of his senior brethren. Yes, for a period of time in the second quarter he was one of our better players, but, having said that, he has a long way to go. At least he looks like we have something to work with.

I dislike the dude been a brethren he doesn't pay taxes and dislikes normal people cause they think they are superior. Secondly who the f we talking about hehe

The only thing that concerns me this year is how many players that have been in the system 3-4-5 years will establish themselves as reasonable B grade/role players.

We need at least a handful to take the next step desperately so we can start being more competitive. Players like Tresize, Banks, Brown, Seth, mj, Green, Ryan(lol), Miller(lol) Kosi etc - the time for these players showing something and establishing themselves is now. If they cant even do that then its going to be a really long tough rd.

Yep and we desperately need a couple of our talls to show something as that starts to help with structure . I like look of gray , hope he gets a chance early on , blight did enough to suggest he has some promise , not faultless but he’s played 3-4 games

He was our best player in the second half. He was rated extremely high in the draft before his last concussion for a very good reason. You don’t become an elite KPP in the VFL, you must play AFL. He should be first picked in the backline.

Unfortunately the club never started this rebuild early enough and was trying to hang in with a list on the decline. Most successful clubs try to have another crack at a flag but rarely does it succeed. We unfortunately drafted a group that has delivered virtually nothing.

I have been telling people that since 17 not many got it ohh well that's life.

As much as I've bagged Short (deservedly) over the last couple of years (or more), I thought he was better last night. He even put his head over the ball in traffic to dish it off to a teammate. So he can do it.

As for McIntosh, well, he got his hands on it a lot, but he also fumbled a lot, turned it over a lot, and pretty much took up a spot that should be given to a much younger player. For example, how about moving Sonsie from the wing or a flank and put him where McIntosh was playing. He'll do some actual damage when he gets his hands on it.

And Ross must play every game in the middle.

Macca is well passed it looked ok in a decent team but like others is found out. I give him credit though he never gives up and if most of the team had his work ethic we would be in a much better situation
